There is normally a surprise result in the opening week, and if I have to pencil in one for prediction, Inter vs Udinese is the one for me; only because I think Udinese has fantastic young players who havent quite made a name for themselves. I hope Asamoah Gyan plays and give Chivu a dream debut.

.
On Andrade, I agree with everything you said. Andrade is that presence in the backline with his experience and positioning. Criscito, whilst looked good one vs one defender, havent quite impressed me with positioning becaus there were 3 times opposition forward peeled him off to find position in a dangerous position. But I am impressed by the kid, and I think he should play regularly week by week basis. So as shocked as I am to say this, I think getting players like Thuram, who probably cant play every week, but still better than most if fresh, makes a lot of sense to me. Especially he will be available for literally free.
On Trezeguet's finishing that was sublime. His first touch was everything. He set up the ball so that he has option of shooting either way. And instead of blasting one through, he had calmness to just slot it home. And the way opened his shoulder; every kid should take that motion and learn it. GK couldnt guess which way the shot was going until the very last second.
Yeah it could very well be Inter, though Roma won't have it easy in Palermo as well. Of course Inter as the champions will be in the spotlight and I'd love it if they lost a few points in the opening game, and if that happens and if I know Inter it will do "wonders" for their morale in the upcoming matches.
Andrade was definetly a great purchase, right know he's that solid backbone in our defense and he's gonna only get better. However the whole defense needs gelling, there are still some stray movements by our defenders which leave openings for the opposition. When we play a bigger team those openings will be used so we really need to work on that team movement in the back. But it will take time, the back line is the most delicate part of the team exactly because mistakes are rarely forgiven. Because of that I would be thrilled if we got Canna. He knows the leauge, the players, the coaches like the back of his hand. Not to mention he knows Buffon and what he wants in front of him, his knowledge at this time would be invalueable. Mix him up with Andrade and we have a very good central duo which could gel instantly with the experience they have.
Though I was really irritated after DD left and we got Ranieri, he has started to win me over. Mainly because he's not afraid to try out youngsters, he played both Nocerino and Criscito in the first game from the start and I must say it worked well. I was hoping for Tiago to start, because I really believe in him, but hats off to Ranieri for making the choices he made, he got them all right. Cricscito was nervous at times but overall he was solid, he needs playing time definetly, the same as Nocerino, but I don't think bringing Canna would do bad for him. Even though he'd loose a starting shirt, it would do wonders to him to have him as a mentor. We'd give him Coppa matches and some leauge ones and he would be slowly moulded into a great defender. I don't wanna see him, and Nocerino again

, loaned out anymore, they have the talent and their head seems in the right place. They need a big club, champions around them and they're gonna be big, I have no doubts about that.
What can I say on Trezeguet? I never doubted that man for a second in the whole last season. He has scoring in him, shoots with both feet, unmatched in heading and finishing in general, his first touch is excellent and all you gotta do is give him something to work with. He will in 99% of time deliver what's asked from him. That's why I hate reading posts about him after a game where he doesn't score. People post he was invisible the whole game, nowhere to be seen, etc. That's almost never the case, if he's invisible it's because the team was invisible and balls didn't get through to him. He rarely gets involved in the build up of the play, though yesterday he was really eager to play and was covering a lot more of the pitch. At one point in the second half he was actually in our half and made a a foul.

He's a luxury to have in attack and we're lucky to have him.
