Trezamatik & dolce Piero will make pastrami out of Rubinho. . . As for Zebina. .he needs to get pimp smacked to the bench. .
4-1 Forza Juve!!
 nicely put hambon!! as for zebina well he has a brain of a monkey but he is always a good back player considering the injuries we end up having each week. although he is a professional but i think that camera man at the calgari game was just standing there at the wrong time with obviously the wrong words to say to a man who just got send off in a voilent game.

Juventus - Genoa

Stadio Olimpico

Serie A Week 8 - 21/10/07 (19.30 UK)

Juventus have a spring in their step, but they can’t afford to underestimate a Genoa side who have found their feet in Serie A in this northern battle.

The Old Lady have settled back into their seat amongst Italy’s elite as if they were never away. After an unexpectedly successful start to the campaign, the Cadetti champions are in second place and could be just one win away from top spot. They will also be boosted by the news that talismanic captain Alessandro Del Piero has committed his future to the club.

While most pundits agree that the Bianconeri aren’t genuine Scudetto contenders, there has been little to stop the Juventini dreaming. The side may not be the all-powerful team of years gone by, but Claudio Ranieri’s men are picking up the points nonetheless. This is the kind of game that must be won if the Turinesi are to be taken seriously as challengers to Inter.

Genoa are proof of the power of momentum. The Grifoni started sluggishly, but just as discontented murmurings began they recorded three consecutive wins. Now, the Rossoblu are in fifth place and already putting distance between themselves and the dreaded drop zone.

A dramatic win over Udinese was followed by victories against Cagliari and Napoli, but Gian Piero Gasperini’s side are yet to produce on their travels. This is far from the easiest time to try and reverse that trend, but a point is by no means Mission Impossible.

Last term’s meetings in Serie B ended in a controversial win for Juventus and a draw.

Influential hitman Vincenzo Iaquinta is a doubt for Juve as he is suffering from a 'flu’ bug. If he doesn’t make a full recovery, Del Piero and David Trezeguet may start up front in a 4-4-2. Mauro Camoranesi is still recovering from a thigh strain and stopper Jean-Alain Boumsong is also out of contention. Marco Marchionni and long-term absentee Jorge Andrade make up the injury list. Sergio Almiron has shaken off a sprained ankle and should feature.

In stark contrast to their hosts, Genoa have no injury worries. Defenders Andrea Masiello, Francesco Bega and Gleison Santos have all recovered from slight problems to make themselves available. Gasperini is almost certain to stick with his 3-4-3 and start with an attacking trident of Marco Di Vaio, Marco Borriello and Giuseppe Sculli.

Keep an eye on: Marco Borriello (Genoa) – The ex-Milan misfit is enjoying a renaissance with Genoa and looks like he could score at any time.

Last season: Juventus 3-1 Genoa

Form guide: Juventus (L D W W D) Genoa (D D W W W)

Juventus (probable): Buffon; Grygera, Legrottaglie, Chiellini, Molinaro; Zanetti, Almiron, Nedved; Del Piero, Trezeguet, Iaquinta

Genoa (probable): Rubinho; Konko, Bovo, Lucarelli; Rossi, Paro, Juric, Danilo; Sculli, Borriello, Di Vaio

Waiting for Sunday night

The long break for the National team games now archived, it's time to concentrate on the League again. Criscito (who already came back Wednesday after playing with Italy's Under 21), Chiellini and Nocerino (who played Italy's friendly last night) are back at Claudio Ranieri's disposal, so the Manager can begin preparing the next League game in more detail.

Sunday the Bianconeri will play the 8th round's evening game, at the Olimpico, against Genoa, a team full of former Juve players: as many as six in the squad, five of whom grew up in Juventus' youth sector, plus, most of all, obviously, Manager Gian Piero Gasperini, who began his career coaching Juventus' youth team. Milanetto, Sculli, Konko, Masiello and Paro all grew up at Juve and Marco Di Vaio also played for the club.

The match comes exactly six months after the last one between the two teams. On April 21, Juventus won 3-1 with goals by Nedved, Chiellini and Trezeguet, and made a decisive leap towards promotion. The last matches in Serie A were played during the 1994/95 season, the one when Lippi won his first Scudetto and the team from Liguria were relegated: at the Delle Alpi it finished 1-1 (with Galante scoring a controversial goal) and 0-4 at the Ferraris stadium.

The match will be played at night, which is a bonus for Ranieri's men: Juventus have won three out of three at night at the Olimpico, beating Livorno, Reggina and Torino in the derby.
