Today is where we could see there isnt a "vidal<-> khedira". We had 3 cm's who did barely forward pressure. In a 4-3-1-2 or 4-2-3-1 you get away with it, cause other players can do it, but in a 3-5-2 you need one of those cm's to be aggressive.

Against a team like fiorentina, we kinda need asamoah (from the selection we have)

You are right, super solid game at the back, Fiorentina didn't look dangerous most of the game despite of their possession. Sandro too, his partnership with Pogba is so fun to watch. Kudos too to Mandzu's grinta in the second goal, that was all him.

yeah, altho sturaro isnt very mobile. Vidal used to press a very big area. Sturaro presses a much closer area, but with just as much aggression and added brutality


last 10 minutes he basically was hitting a player each time he tried a tackle

Having Pogba do little less work is fine, marchisio compensates behind. Playing a bit simular cm works against high pressure attack teams, but against an impotent sidepassing team, you really need an aggressive cm or it gets very hard.

Yet thanks to all that work, fiorentina did absolutely nothing at all with that possession.
