Sorry to have missed the match, here in India they showed the Milan match, I wanted to ask how did GC play as LB. Should we make the change permanent or look for a specialist like SL ?

He's improving but he's by far best at CB where he is world class. Better than Bonucci at CB and a proper LB like Cissokho or Ansaldi will be better than Chiellini at LB.

He even said himself in an interview that he knows he plays bad balls and long balls sometimes. I don't understand why he can't not do it. Unless he's concentrating so much and it's so ingrained in him that he just does it surely he could use his brain in that second. He just has to get rid of it quicker and play it along the ground safely.

I think it's his ability (or lack there of) to think under pressure. Some players seem to have the ability to keep a cool head under pressure eg. Pirlo and always look like they have time and space. Bonucci just seems to look under pressure a lot and he reacts accordingly.

whenever he got the ball and looked like hitting it long id jump up and scream NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! id laff when he passes it short...its like he hears us..
Then you are quite stupid. His pass to Licht which opened up some space on the right eventually led to our 3rd goal.

There's no doubt that every team needs a CB that makes those types of passes occasionally and that Bonucci is sometimes successful in doing that BUT its even more important that those attempts to make creative passes are successful and if not, are at least relatively low risk. Bonucci's passing is high risk. Long balls from CBs should go high and wide but most of his awful ones were ground passes straight into the path of Palermo CMs or strikers and if the opponent has the ball in the center of field in those instances then its even more dangerous.

Either pass it long and wide or get it to Pirlo in space and let him create from the back. That's what he's there for.
