do you remember angelo di livio? he used to send ball back. but he was hard-working player and didnt lose ball easily.
You're missing the point - it was a really bad pass. Every defender with a brain would pass the ball back, if there ain't any better option.

And of course I remember him. My class mate said I looked like him in 6th grade :)

Well this games looks like a really awkward match-up for Juve's 3-5-2 against wingers.

Always the same issue of finding the balance between playing a back five, and having not width up the pitch, and playing a back three and risking three-on-three counter attacks.

Give how weak Napoli's full backs look, I think I'd be sorely tempted to get dragged into playing the sort of attacking 4-3-3 that a lot of people here would like to see and commit to an open, attacking game where the match is reduced to a bunch of one-on-one battles all over the pitch and Juve back themselves to win enough of those battles to win the game.

I think I did not understand anything from this post. Either I have had a few too many beers or I have no clue about tactics.

I'm suggesting that 4-3-3 would be a better bet than 3-5-2 for this game, perhaps even a very attacking 4-3-3 (Tevez-Llorente-Giovinco), rather than the more balanced 4-3-3 Juve used in the CL.

If Padoin had a flamboyant South American name he would be celebrated as a god. Look at some of the shit Isla has given this team, yet he's still an equivalent to a player that puts in decent showings consistently.
Because we're that shallow, right? Anyways Padoin does a bare minimum and nothing more, sometimes not even that. What about 1st Milan's goal, where was he for Muntari's shot? It's not like he never screws up. People shitting over Isla constantly, but at least with him around there's potential, some chance that he'll have a good run, cross, unlike with Padoin in the team. The guy has difficulties of controlling a simple pass ffs. Poor man's Pessoto.

Its seriously disgusting. I dont even want Isla in the same stadium.

And pado, is such a reliant robyn

He's saying 4-3-3 is better than 3-5-2.
And he's spot on.

Napoli, used to get away with their pathetic build up skills by hoofing it to cavani. This season they seemb to be wanting to domminate the play. Oh sure, just pressure that backline to the max, force them into mistakes or long balls wich we'll easely win.

buffon
barzagli - bonucci - chiellini
padoin- vidal - pogba - asamoah
tevez
llorente - vucinic

Press that backline

I'm not too confident with 352 in this match. This will allow them to have ball for long periods of the match and we shouldn't let it happen.

Pressing their poor back line should give us some results. I hope Juve do that.

Heh ?

a 352 can perfectly press them, it just depends on the instructions the players get

if pado and asamoah press high, its sorta 4man frontline

to be honest tho, having a crossers and llorente here, would do SO much damage
