IQ man of the match without a doubt while Marchisio was great and so is poulsen. And a big applause goes to the beast in the name of Chellini, a legend.

Not to forget how decisive Candreva's substitution was, he certainly ran his lungs out and him linking with Diego was a pleasure to watch

The midfielders finally passed the ball around and moved well and look at the scoreline: three goals for and a clean sheet.

Andy was right.
I wasn't entirely right. I didn't think Candreva would make that much of a difference in our play, but after seeing him contrasted with the likes of Sissoko and Melo, it's quite obvious he does far more for our midfield than they do. His east and west movement, along with his ability to actually use the ball, really helps our possession play. He just needs to be consistent at it.

But yes, there is absolutely no reason to play two guys like Melo and Sissoko together, and IMO there isn't a reason to play even one of them. One can easily see the difference when a ball playing midfielder like Candreva is in there. Destroyers thwart our forward progress far too much and we do need to move away from that sort of football.

The Second half today was probably the best football I've seen the team play since 2009. Now we just have to keep it up, which I doubt.

I meant mainly that more possession does not only help us score goals, but also makes our defence look better.

No doubt about that. It is absolute insanity to sit back and try to absorb pressure with a horrendous defense. You're just asking to bend over and take it from behind.

My guess would be, If Roma beat Sampdoria, the latter won't be able to defeat Livorno. They might draw, but won't win.
I am optimistic that our second team (Siena) can at least take one point in their next match. Palermo are known to loose points away.
