This was a deserved victory, we were superior for once and we have a won!
But make no mistake, its not like we were stellar, it was because Bari was too incompetent and could not take advantage of our pathetic defense...
This team could have easily lose points or the game, if the opposition were more competent and Buffon trusted Zebi a bit more, just like they did so many times before...
Its really unfortunate though, that Samp and Palermo managed to beat Roma and Milan and seal the last CL position. I was hoping at least one of them would slip some points at the most difficult match of the remainder and maybe a draw in the game between them, but kudos to them for the performances and their deserved spot above us!
Our players ought to believe that we still have a chance and try until the last minute, but dont be delusional, we have lost the CL and we did not deserve it!
We are not at any case a CL material team and it highly unlikely we will become with this management.
So let us focus in the domestic titles again and build smth more concrete...
Hopefully this time we will get some proper defenders and wont waste any more money on midfielders and overpriced forwards.
Agree. Well put. And they defiently deserve it more than us.

However, I think it should be clear that we should only play one of Poulsen, Melo Sissoko - Because even though this was done on against a very bad team I think the ball control and passing was decisive.

Furthermore the signing of Melo was terrible wrong, and Secco should really reflect on this. Ferrrara saw it right and wanted D'ago even though he was probably overpriced and have not had the best of season I think we would be much better of had we bought him. At least then with all our injuries our coaches would be forced to play football players and not destroyer like it was the case with this game.

I think we should cash in on Sissoko this summer and sign Candreva plus another D'ago type player (if not D'ago if he trades at a discount after this season).

Hope you are not a teacher because youre students would be killed. Iaquinta scores twice in 45 minutes play and only gets 6.5, Diego, Chiellini, Buffon and Poulsen should be higer as well.
Scoring two goals doesn't necessarily give him higher rating...
He pissed me on several occasions with his decisions

Nope, I am not a teacher. And I wouldn't kill my students either. Well, at least not the good looking ones, but that goes without saying.

Iaquinta: points deducted because he asked for a yellow card.
Diego: painfully slow in terms of decision making, sloppy ball control on many occasions, ridiculous shots at goal.
Chiellini & Buffon: had pretty easy games if you ask me, rarely troubled.
Poulsen: Maybe I am being a bit harsh, I just felt he did what he's supposed to. Nothing more, nothing less.

I don't think our victory had anything to do with Momo and Melo being on the side, but I noticed that Diego had one of his better games with Iaquinta as a striker. he clearly needs a fast and constantly moving forward.
we should remember that in the next mercato
no need for static strikers when you have Diego behind them

modern football needs fast and constantly moving players and not just diego. on the other hand, look at what diego did with pizzaro last year. he made pizzaro look like a good player. amauri and treza are not far from pizzaro's playing style. i can't understand why amauri and treza haven't been helped much from diego's style.

Pizzaro is a different situation, just to be clear he IS still scoring goals like crazy. and u can't be serious in comparing Trez and Amauri with Pizzaro all three have different style and can't be compared.

De Ceglie 6 - Surprisingly competent outing. Some nice interventions.
I thought I was the only one who thought DC was decent yesterday. I think it had a lot to do with the fact that we kept possession for some time. He's young and not really a world beater, so if he's under pressure for the whole game, he's going to make mistakes. But I think if we can relieve some of that pressure, he's a decent fullback who links up well with the midfield, IMO much better than Moli or Grosso.

That being said he should never be our starter (unless he improves dramatically, which I think no one sees happening), nor should he be ever played anywhere else except the LB position.

I sense a Bari victory; I try to be optimistic, but honestly there is nothing to be optimistic about. I am not watching the games from now on; I'd rather find out the result than endure 90+ minutes of torture and heartache. I am young and have better things to do with my life.

me too...
