That looked like a clear penalty to me.. If the opposition did that I would expect a spot kick..

Our attack seems to have improved but we still arent scoring much more than last year..

And our squad and attacking options are better this year .. So we still havent improved under Sarri and our defence is definately worse ..

Ok I’m still confused: the ball hit de Ligt”s arm when he fell, that’s not intentional is it.
A free kick or penalty will be awarded if:

the ball goes into the goal after touching an attacker's hand or arm.
a player wins ball possession after it comes off their hand or arm and then scores, or creates a goalscoring chance.
the ball touches a player's hand/arm which has made their silhouette unnaturally bigger.
the ball touches a player's hand/arm when it's raised above their shoulder.

There will be no penalty if:

the ball touches a player's hand/arm immediately from their own head/body/foot or the head/body/foot of another player.
the ball touches a player's hand/arm close to their body and has not made their silhouette unnaturally bigger.
a player is falling and the ball touches their hand/arm when it is between their body and the ground (but not extended to make the body bigger).
additionally, should the goalkeeper attempt to clear a ball from a teammate but fails, the goalkeeper is allowed to handle the ball.

Frustrating... this summarize the last 12 minutes of this game...

A better side would have tie or even beat us!

whats the point of dominating the game if at the last 15 minutes you just stop caring?

frustrating...

What a shitty game. Almost everybody had loads of technical errors, played painfully slow and took wrong decisions all the time.
Even Ronaldo was frustrating to watch.

It is worrying that we still can’t close out games when we have the chance.
Hopefully we will be a lot better tuesday cause this shit is not going to cut it.

De Ligt first touch with leg then went to elbow.
Elbow/arm was below the shoulder so even if it didn't touch/deflect with his leg it wouldn't been penalty too
