So, this was an impressive game. By far our best of the season so far in terms of tactics & approach.
I honestly did not see this coming.

A few avoidable individual errors & some less than clinical finishing meant that the game remained close & entertaining throughout, but we were definitely better.

I understand the pessimism before because of Inter's form and our struggles against the small teams but we showed our high level game. I knew we could do it after the Atlético game, this time we really stepped up in the way Sarri managed and his substitutes, the number of players who gave excellent performances as well. 2 of the 3 strikers scored taking the pressure off Ronaldo, Bentancur and Can doing well, Berna doing his defensive number on Brozovic was perfect even though going forward he was weak. Exciting times.

I am embarrassed

Yes, it's nice to see that Sarri is slowly reaching the heights I expected from him. It was a bit slower start than I expected, but slowly he's getting there.
:agree:

Who knew that expecting a domestic double and being at least CL Final level team would be considered too ambitious by many. If Sarri gets there, fantastic, I will be super thrilled with his work here, if he doesn’t it still doesn’t change my expectation for this club with the squad we have.

I guess if you set your ambitions low enough you shall never be disappointed? :boh:

Extremely satisfying win and a very entertaining match!

As one of Higuains biggest critics here i have to eat some humble pie . I dont know what it is with him and Sarri but they seem to have some sort of Father & Son relationship. Its like Higuain wants to prove himself to Sarri or something, and if he scores he will get a cream cake in the dressing room after the match.
Whatever it is it makes him a much better player and i hope he can continue like this.

As for the rest of the team i thought pjanic had a good match and showed why he is internationally respected. He has the ability to control the tempo of matches.

Cuadrado, Bonucci also did good imo. They were important for us.

Khedira and Matuidi just do what they do at this point. We know why they are there, to free other players up.

Happy for Dybala after all the rumours in the Summer. If he hits form now we have a very dangerous attack. Ronaldo was just unlucky not to score in this match

De Ligt is still doing stupid stuff and seems very nervous. Still, Im not too worried, i think he will find his confidence soon enough.

Inter was pretty much as expected, and Contes limited tactical ability was very much on display in the second half. Very limited manager.

I think Lautaro is a good player, too good for Inter tbh.

Anyways, very satisfied with this great win, made my week!

You're still doing it aren't you? The patience of a saint you have.
It's probably pretty pointless in this particular case, but I don't mind talking with people with whom I've disagreed in the past. I try not to take stuff on here too personally, after all we're just random fuckers talking about the team we love. I don't see the point in actively seeking for confrontation.

Alex Sandro had a great game, too. It's been a long while.

Is that a typo? It's one word, not two.

I really enjoyed this game, hats off to Sarri in whom I believed since the very beginning tbh. I didn't expect this kind of dominance though. It's a pity it ended 2-1 to Juve, the result is flattering to inda who didn't impress me at all. The ref was a joke in the first half, 10 or even more fouls from inda players and no yellow card given.

Overall I'm very happy we don't play the lats season's boring snoozefest anymore while maintaining the results. Many players look rediscovered, they probably needed that change to regain motivation and lose some ground under their feet.

The flashes of good game were there before, for example the way we handled Napoli and Atletico was very impressive to me. Obliviously both games have left bitter taste in the mouth due to the fact we couldn't regulate the tempo and finish those two off. Against inda it looked much better, so there are things to look forward to this season :)
