It's a long bow to draw to say that we wanted to defend a one goal lead like that for 80 minutes. First ten minutes we were clean and accurate with the ball. I don't think we strung more than two passes together in our own half after that. Such a weird game. If we were to win the league playing like this I wouldn't complain. But jesus, the overall skill level of this team with the ball is so far below what it was 3-5 years ago.

Loca was clear MOM.
Nah I'm not convinced, I believe it's because of the coaching and mentality due to the coaching. Because the way that this team operates on the field is like serie b or lower level team, do we have lower than serie b level players?

WTF was that? Maybe we should miss out on CL, if that's how we are going to play. No need for the whole Europe to see this shitshow. And the clown seemed to be happy with this performance too- did not lose a single item of clothing the whole game.

The very definition of ‘an underwhelming win but we’ll gladly take it.’ :D

Away to Fiorentina is never easy for us, so this is an absolutely massive win.
And what makes it even sweeter is knowing that our true fans will be, once again, disappointed. Or angry, even.

Bremer, Rugani & Locatelli were very, very good.
Tek is in good form lately as well.

Very impressive defending in the box. Bremer was amazing again. Last year was similar, outperforming xG and then reality came back to haunt us. We can't rely consistently on fluke goals and soaking up pressure for 95 min each game. An injury on Bremer and our performance will drastically go down.

brilliant goal, even with parisi's misjudgement

after 50 crosses, 70% of possession and 20-something shots, this is all they had:
We played crap and did very nice on this goal but like you said Parisi could have easily prevented it with a sliding tackle. Luckily for us Parisi fucked up and we got the goal needed.
Apart for that we played a terrible and over catenaccio game.

These performances aren't sustainable and won't hold up in Europe, as much as the usual suspects here want to kid themselves otherwise. Regardless of the win, we played like shit. These might just get you past the Fiorentinas and Veronas of the league, but they wont get you past Madrid or City. Some people here will be in for a rude awakening eventually and we'll be back to square one.
