Pretty poor.

A lot of sideways passing and nobody willing to take responsibility to open them up, other than Cambiaso.

I think we are showing too much faith in Mbangula and Weah. They had positive showings in the first 2 games but they lack quality and shouldn't be relied on to turn games around.

This would have been a straight forward win if we had a half decent striker.

Say what you want about the rest of the team but Susan is costing us points. No movement, awful touch, terrible passing and misses every chance he gets.

I promise you we would have won this game today with a half decent striker.
This!
Someone said in the live match thread that we are going to have a problem because we don't have vlahovic backup, but the problem is we don't have a good striker instead of vlahovic.

Awful and quite worrying performance tbh.

When Gatti and Kalulu are your two best players against a team like Empoli, you know it’s been a terrible game.

We simply he had no idea what we were doing in an attacking sense out there. One big chance by Dusan (missed) and the rest of the evening was a bunch of players standing around not knowing what they were meant to be doing.
Yildiz and Nico couldnt go past their guy.
Weah could with his speed but then its Weah...

Most of our players stayed in torino so this is worrying and Motta should take some responsibility. Will wait for more games so the players get used to each other.. I'm hoping for better performances...

For all the complaining, we should've still had 2 goals here if not for prodigal €12M strikers. We clearly lack cohesion and that final pass especially, but let's remember that this is the first time where we've had what is likely our regular starting midfield together for a full 90. It's going to take time, but I'm optimistic.

It the classic big team fuck up after international break. Sad it had to be us and then against fucking Empoli.. they really are a shite team

Yeah both their fullbacks locked our guys up.

We looked disjointed, you can tell that our players aren't always on the same page but im sure with time that will improve.

Straight from Allegri's playbook. Chaotic game, a lot of mistakes, we didnt create much, cant beat press, we were lucky to get a point here in the end. What a waste of 2 hours. I dont like how we play at all the last 2 games. However, a lot of new faces so it will take some time. Disappointing game. Cambiaso, the only player Id save from this match. Defense and goalie were mostly ok as well. Everyone else should find get a kick in their lazy ass.

We looked to have real urgency for the first 5-10 mins of the second half but it allwithered away after Dusan’s bad miss. Needed him to finish that chance especially when the entire team had been shit and Empoli are playing a very good game. Two huge dropped points here.

So much this.

And this is why sending Chiesa away so easily comes to mind again.

Away to Empoli and our best player, without a single doubt, was Gatti. I think that about sums up the game.

On the plus side, I think even very good teams are going to have trouble beating us.
On the not so plus side, I also think we're going to have trouble beating most teams.

We clearly lacked ideas last season but, based on the first 4 games, we lack them even more this season.

Should’ve never dropped points here but it is what it is, too many experiments with the formation and players roles when majority of them hardly ever played with each other and still need time to adapt and gel first was always due to cost us… also i don’t like that we are insisting with basically 3 CB’s again and no actual fullbacks for large parts.

Main positive to take is that we are keeping the clean sheets run going, but not too much progress in terms of seeing improvements to our game.

Yep.

I somehow knew we weren’t winning after I saw that series of subs. Looked like Motta had run out of ideas as much as the players on the field. The subs all looked worse than who we had taken off.

Empoli just looking up stats from previous 3 league matches, same playbook as today. Drastically less possession in each but someway got 2 draws and a win. Possibly their style manager desires. If continues wait to see end of season stats if down in ranking for goals scored and allowed.

The lack of urgency in the last 20 minutes was quite odd. I saw Koopmeiners sprint to take the corner in stoppage time and the fact that stood out said a lot.
