I am not too sure though. I definitely want veteran defender for at least cover by January, because Legro simply isnt good enough. I loved denco's analogy that even pigs can defend their food better! .

But right now, we have the option of switching Chiellini to CB. The boy has unbelievable strenght, leap, speed for CB. He has all the attributes. I think Chiellini will make better CB than LB, even if he is still pretty decent LB for me anyway. Switch Chiellini CB, and let Molinaro play. I don't know too much about Molinaro, but his scouting report is pretty good, so its worth a try.
i agree that chiellini would do better than criscito and legro as a CB but molinaro is like balzaretti,so a good attacking performance and a very weak coverage.
personally,i would put salihamidzic at the left.

Hello all!

I was pretty upset to see us play so badly in the first half! We seemed to hold our own in midfield, but I didn't see any creativity or pace. Once Camoranesi came on I think it made all the difference!

Bear in mind Livorno got whipped again today, which means us whipping them 5-1 last week wasn't an amazing amazing achievement (though still good). The key here is that even after a fairly shoddy performance as well as some flaring tempers, we kept our cool and won the game. 3 very hard fought points, well done lads.

Commentators on Channel 5 were saying that they weren't too impressed with Juve's defending, but to be fair, with youngsters like Chiellini and Criscito, and also Andrade and Zebina who have all never played with each other, and in fact now I think of it they've never even played with any of the other defenders in the starting back 4, besides the start of this season, they've done well I guess. With time they'll get to know each other better and gel.

I think we missed a bit of Iaquinta's pace today, which is why I think bringing Camoranesi on was a good decision. But I wasn't pleased with Almiron and Zanetti. Those 2 were just farming in the middle of the pitch, taking things too slow and not even setting their passes accurately! I found that really annoying.

Buffon and the defenders did as well as they could I guess, Foggia was causing major problems, but they did well to double up on him in the 2nd half. Legrotaglie looked good when he came on.

Del Piero was disappointing in my opinion. I love the guy, but to be fair he looked slow and his skills weren't coming off. and what a miss! I guess the pressure's on him a little bit to perform, but as we all know, Serie A is a totally different kettle of fish to Serie B, it'll take a few matches to adjust back. Our focus should only be to get 3 points every game and to gel with one another!

Phew! Sorry for that long waffle!

Hope you guys are good?

Kami :)
dont agree that c.zanetti was bad,i think he did his job preventing a lot of attacks and he also did almiron's one as he was in the origin of the major part of our attacks with accurate passes.

No I am not trying to 'sign on this forum' because I can do so at will, also I could just register and pretend to be someone else but the funny thing is that way I would miss on such classic posts.

Jeeeeeeeeeeez took you about half an hour to come up with something, which is barely literate...oh hang on...it's still the same boring, dreadful, colourless crappy reply which surfaced before on this god forsaken forum.

How do you do it? Do you think of empty space? Or of a really hot desert or of a distant lifeless planet? I really do despair when all someone could come up with is this rubbish.

So ye in essence you should be bothered because right now you are demonstrating how deprived of actual thought you are. If I was offended by such an individual I should really take up nihilism like the other spotty teenager.
Yeah . sorry about that late reply , I was actually doing something else and not staring impatiently for a new comment from you . Forgive me for not all people have your brilliant life .

Anyway , how do I do it ? empty space ? Yes , exactly , you got me there . That's just how I think man . I see a dessert and a lifeless planet . Really , do you honestly want me to start offending you ? I'm just trying to keep this peaceful . If you insist on turning it ugly I have no problem .

No , not really . I'm not deprived of actual thought . The only thing you seem to do is try to critisize my post in any way possible not thinking of anything a little original . So basically , I'll post and then you'll say something like " You call this a post ? " therefore making yourself feel all warm and fuzzy inside hoping you made yourself look cool .

The fact is , you're probably some depressed guy in his late twenties or thirties desperate for companionship and online arguments . If critisizing some posts and members here make you forget the sad life you have then I'm glad to help .
Afterall , I love helping other people .

Thanks for the info. I never knew it was a full transfer. I am somewhat mixed by this news. If Foggia was totally owned by Milan, we would not have any chance of getting him, but with Lazio, I am sure Lottio will listen to big dollars. However, Lottio has made a quite big reputation of being a hard person to drive negotiation. And you know in terms of deals involved he ripped off every player you can think of. I sure hope his selling qualities arent as good as his buying skills.

On Foggia, I totally agree. The guy has so much to offer. Dribbling, movement, and best of all, he can score. I have seen him play for Ascoli, and Reggina couple of times, but he seems to have improved over preseason, because I never remember him being this good for 90mins.

Lastly on midfield, I think we should try out Almiron and Tiago as you suggested in other thread. I am totally convinced that this team is best at playing 4-3-3. 4-4-2 is just too rigid system, and we havent got enough penetration in this team to make it work against good competition. Almiron is needed for his distribution. So for me he is untouchable for now. Zanetti just about gets nod for his defensive positioning. But he is very poor passer of the ball, so I think having Tiago might benefit the balance of the team. And I think Nedved should get a break next game, and try Camo trequarsista role. Camo seems to be on fire, so let him give maximum freedom.
This is why I insist getting Foggia this season, especially seeing our midfield constraints, and moreover he is only 24 this year. He can play on the left wing as well, even though I prefer him in a playmaker position. I think we should have got him as he has been performing quite well. Which leads me to wonder why we became toothless in this game. Because from what I know Cagliari's threat has always been Foggia and I can't believe that he single-handedly demolish us. Something must have gone wrong at this stage. And I think we are too slow. A player like him will definitely help us.

Midfield wise, from the Cagliari game we can see how much Camo is needed. Nocerino should be moved to the centre, I think that if he is in the centre the threat of Foggia will not be so devastating. Too bad Grygera + Birindelli are injured at this time, else we can't really do much. 4-3-3 is always an exciting formation IMO but with the players on hand for the game, I guess we have to switch to 4-4-2. I will really like to see 4-3-3 or 4-3-1-2 formation. As for DP I think it is time to give him some rest.

Defence wise, Legro + Boumsong have proven to is that theyh are total disaster, we need to buy some1. Since we all know that Nedved is about to retire, might as well consider investing some $$$ on Foggia

Buying Foggia is a good idea but I doubt we'll get him , he doesn't seem like the player juventus would go after. It's not that we're slow as much as we're imbalanced at the back . Our left side is weak defensively , and Andrade - criscito pairing isn't turning out to be consistent but I they it'll take time for them to adapt.

I agree , I think we should try a 4-3-1-2 , I think it can add a lot to our midfield at this point . Nedved can play behind two strikers and have a free role . I think Del piero should play , but he definetely needs some rest and he should work more on his fitness . He's a bit too slow , he isn't good for counterattacks as he always slows us down . He has that magic touch and experience which is always great but i would love to see palla getting a chance .

Del piero can't play every game of the season and with International duty , his age , fitness and injury problems . It's a miracle he's still playing at this level . We should rest him in some games so he could be more fresh and effective.

It's hard to blame your forwards when your midfield doesn't produce any good service. I can't remember a decent ball into DP or Trez in the danger area today until Camoranesi came on. DP did most of his work away from the box and Trez didn't have a single presentable opportunity apart from the goal.

Salihamidzic works hard but his crossing lacks quality and Nedved and Almiron had off days.

It's only the 3rd game of the season if you consider the Coppa Italia, it's good problems like this arise in the early stages. I think Criscito still has a lot to learn as in Serie A, the league is more competitive and there are chances that he will get to face much tougher and tricker players. So he must work up a lot in his position and his defensive awareness. Nocerino should always play in the centre. Nedved? He can still run and such, but age has come up to him. This is what I see in Foggia, he can play in that position as well, so another problem solved

Time to let Palladino into the picture, at times like this Palladino needs to be given his chances too, given that Trez will probably be injred again. Same goes for DP, as if the play on game in game out, fatigue will come.

Its hard enough to win a game when you are playing against 12 (the ref sucked badly today), but we really didnt help ourselves out today with this lousy performance

We had 4 good scoring chances through the entire 90 minutes, and very luckily, we scored on 3 of them

The biggest blame goes to the midfield today as they were outworked and out-hustled, didnt give the strikers much service, and left our weak defense hanging out to dry a number of times (sound familiar?? Take a look at the Parma game from wednesday night)

And speaking of defense, its very obvious that Criscito has a long way to go, Andrade isnt going to fill Cannavaro's shoes, and I cant talk about Legro or BUMsong without laughing

No ratings today, as I thought the whole team was pertty piss-poor, and RUINeri better come up with some solutions to these problems fast, because as everyone here keeps talking about a CL place, I think we may be looking at a more realistic 7th place finish if we keep on like this...the bigger teams will eat us alive :(

we will only get better as the season goes on. its important we scrape these early points up so we dont miss anything when we are out of form. if we can nab 3 wins when were off form, i think once our players adjust we will be a scudetto force.
