I only saw the end of the first and beginning of the second half, but Sissoko was fucking horrible. Everytime he got the ball he'd lose it...and don't even start me on those runs of his where he'd stumble over the ball. He needs to stop playing.

Motta is just dumb and green as hell. He's got a good touch but once he gets the ball his mind tells him to do something he can't. If he keeps it simple he might be decent.

No one else stood out except for Marchisio, he was creating and working. Only player I liked today. Quaggz it seems missed too many opportunities.

Not a terrible performance overall.

Tight game, as it was always going to be.

Juve put in a good few minutes just before scoring and it's just unfortunate that Brescia scored a fairly unstoppable goal straight away.

If Juve had held out another couple of minutes and got settled in, they would almost certainly have seen the game out and got the 1-0 win.

That's the first game since he's been out that I've been sitting thinking 'this game needs Krasic'.

I agree on all points especially about Krasic, we really needed someone to take on defenders tomorrow.

Actually, last year we started the season with 4 wins out of 4 and 12 pts. For comparison, we started this season with only 4 pts in the first 4 rounds and after 11 rounds we're better than last year.

Indeed, late November-early December is when we were completely dismantled, but it was in early October when we started losing a lot and when it became obvious that it's not gonna be a happy season. This year it's not the case, although the team we have does not promise much and there is a reason to be afraid that this team can miss out on CL again.
21 points out of 11 games last year, 19 out of 11 matches this year.

We look better than last year, but we can't let a slump generate.

And now is the most delicate time, this team has not been indicating a slump like the one last year. But we've been seriously unlucky, this is one of the few times you'll hear me say that, but if it wasn't for factors outside our control we'd be building up a real challenge for the top places now.
Instead we have to make sure we are stable until players return, I fear if we develop into a slump things will go back to last year.

How many points were we away from first last year after 11 matches? Since we're still only 4 points away from first, it's not like it's impossible -- yet.

Then there is another factor, Inter are worse this year, Milan and Napoli are better. Lazio has come in as an outsider, Roma started slow but safely coming back. The league is closer this year and teams are more likely to lose points which makes the whole thing more competitive.

missed the game due to being at Tynecastle, but overall when you consider the injury problems...it's not a horrible result, but these are the gamnes we need to grind out if we are to make a serious and concerted title challenge
