No Italy at the WC, no Italians in the CL now, us not making the quarters in CL for a few seasons, it's indicative of where Italian football is on the world stage.

England lack the finesse and top level talent to win a major tournament but the PL has been developing a lot. Even if you take out the foreign superstars, the core English players have understood that fitness, pace, power and pressure are key and the next generation are pretty decent.

England never lose to second tier teams and trash minnows, Italy don't. Italian football failings can't be masked by Juventus buying top talent, this was inevitable and on the CL stage, it's clear that Spanish and even Portuguese ligas are progressing rapidly. Ciro Immobile is the best example of this, a boss for Lazio but hopeless internationally.
And yet, somehow, Italy has won both the World Cup and a Euros (as well as making another euro final) in the last 15 years and England has won jack shit.

Fuck man, a win against Inter would have given us the Scudetto, I’m super convinced of that.

Napoli and Milan’s schedules are tough and I can totally see us catching them.
We didn't really improve. The others dropped down to our level.

Next season we better buy our way out of this hole.

Yeah, but that Euro win was due to some legendary defending from Chiellini and even Bonucci, players that will be gone and have no backfill whatsoever. Too bad they don’t do that for Juve.

There should be no masking of the major issues of Italian football, as someone who has watched it for decades it’s basically falling apart IMO.

Super League would have saved us, maybe. Don’t care about the rest of Italy as they are going nowhere.

His league record is actually pretty poor.
I am not disputing that, but he is a winning coach. 3 CL titles and multiple titles in different countries attest to the fact that he is a top coach.

Would I want him here? Absolutely not. I think once Max's tenure is over (whether he retires, his contract expires, or he gets fired), we should steer clear of Italian coaches.

The WC win was the end of the Italian era, they've downgraded in every single position since then. They won the Euros but failed to qualify for the WC so you could say they done a Greece since they couldn't win a group ahead of Northern Ireland and Switzerland. Influence in CL and EL is nothing now.

England are like Belgium in that they're regularly getting to the latter stages of big tournaments. Like teams that regularly make CL semis, they'll win it eventually.

No, they won't. Fuck Der Ingerland and all Britbong sympathizers. Long may they continue to fail - it's beautiful to witness. The only things greater in sport are Merda Cunts of Inter losing, The Red Cunts of Manc failing, and LeBum not winning another chip.

I love England failing too and I live in London but they're building up themselves to eventually do it. I'd say Portugal are getting there and Spain have reset themselves and become one of the favourites too. The Italian front line is Sassuolo with Immobile, the defence is from J Medical & Retirement Homes.

I have no sympathy for Italy, their success depends on a core of Juventus players but since they're trying everything to ruin us in Serie A with referees and VAR, I say screw them forever.

We should get that. Roma have Napoli away and Inter away in the next two rounds and two more away matches against Fiorentina and Torino. If we beat Bologna, Genoa and Venezia, we'll most probably secure top 4 even if we lose all three against Sassuolo, Lazio and Fiorentina.
Inter will be champions. Piss easy schedule for them. Their win against us settled everything.
I don’t know if it’s about growing up in a period where Milan or Inter were our biggest threats dictates this; but I would prefer Milan as champions every day of the week over Inter.

I was a teenager when Calciopoli happened and I don’t think I’ll ever get over Inter’s role and gain in all of it. I just can’t rationalise preferring them over any of our other rivals.

Switzerland are no mugs, they beat France at the Euros and went toe to toe with Spain, but Italy did bottle it.

I don't know if England will eventually win it but it's obvious they have a way better football structure and organization than Italy. All that foreign money, investment on academies, playing with the best players in the world has eventually translated into deep runs in Euro and World Cup. I reckon they'll make another deep run in the upcoming world cup too.

Italy have won a EURO inspite of a poor football administration. If they did have a good football structure, they would be a powerhouse like Germany or even better than them, making semis and finals of every major tournament instead of getting dumped out of two consecutive world cup tournaments.

It's a blessing in disguise that Italy did not qualify else the clowns in FIGC would have rested on their laurels and overlooked the problems.

A major overhaul is needed especially in terms of infrastructure and youth football.

Same. At least Milan got some sort of punishment for the shady dealings they had even if it wasnt severe. But Inter not only avoided punishment but also were gifted a scudetto and then bought our players and dominated for years because of Ibra. Unforgivable stuff.

Serie A deserves the hole it's in.
