You see we are talking the same thing! Just that you think we need more firepower up front while I think we have enough. My concern is that like every year since Calciopoli we'll ignore the defence while we run behind offensive players. We have a potent strikeforce in Serie A and that's the only competition we are playing. I'm not against signing Aguero (you can read back a couple of pages if you want) but it shouldn't be priority.
And Sorenson shouldn't be a right back. He's solid defensively and that's about it. I'd take him every day of the week and twice on Sundays over Motta, but we shouldn't be playing him at RB if we are going to build a solid defensive unit who can complement the offense.

Signing Kun is not a priority, but signing a player of his caliber should be. Aside from ticket/shirt sales, we need a game changer. We don't have one. Matri-Quag will not "outfirepower" us into the top 3. I share your concern about neglecting the defense to date, but that is changing it seems and there are some magnificent players possibly available this summer that could quite literally catapult us this club into the CL next year...that's what worries me the most. I think our defense will stabilize this summer but that alone will not get us to the top 3. We need an allstar LM to help Krasic out in terms of creativity from the flanks, but we also need a WC player that just being on the pitch alone will draw defenders to him opening up space for Matri or Quag, etc. There is so much more than goals from a WC player up top that we need...nevermind shirt sales, but more like assists, opening up play, pulling defenders, link up, possession, fear factor...list goes on and on that a player like Kun could give.
You can't say Quag-Matri is a guaranteed top 3...no way man, not with all top 4 teams making bank off of CL this year that will look to make their team even stronger. Landing 2-3 WC players needs to be a priority. We already have half the problem fixed in defense. It is no coincidence that lower level teams out performed our defense for varying reason and you can't convince me that they had "better players"...it's a combo of a better coach, better tactics, etc.
