why not having them both in the same team? with pazzini as lone forward

diego needed someone to link with him but everytime he got the ball he was surrounded by 3 players and he couldn't find way out or any help from his team mates.

i barely saw a forward runs from any midfielder or wb and that just bring limitation to a playmaker... because playmaker job is to pass the ball perfectly to the players who runs forward. but instead of helping him pushing forward they were waiting for him to dribble past 10 players and score it by his own :sergio:
I'll tell you why, 40 + 20 = 60 and we still haven't started to fix our defense.

Selling Diego to get Aguero is pointless in my opinion. Yes, it would be great to have Aguero in the team and he's a great player, but Diego is of the quality that he should be staying.

Selling the best player we've bought in the last 5 years after just one season isn't progress, we should be adding to our top players, not swapping them out for different ones each season.

Caceres(re-loan), Bonucci(14m), Criscito(7m), Aguero(30m plus trades)

Buffon

Caceres-Bonucci-Chiellini-Criscito

Marchisio-Marrone-Melo

Diego

Trez-Aguero

(Total: 51m)

Sell: Sali, Grosso, Poulsen, Grygera, Zebina, IQ, Molinaro, Tiago to bring some money

That's an easy top four finish for CL qualification and cheap!

I am not sure he's been our best player. Top 3 yes, but Amauri and Melo are certainly there too.

Your team does not deal with the lack of width that been fucking us all season. I think this team is better.

Buffon
Caceres-Bonucci-Chiellini-Criscito
Krasic-Marchisio-Melo-Giovinco
Aguero-Trezeguet

its not waste of money anyway :D

or you want to see cheap mid table players who will take vacation in turin and leave the next season? if this board is honest and are ready to challenge for Serie A and CL they will buy the best players availabe and they will have to spend too much

No it is not a waste of money. I want to see quality players coming in, but the efense must be revamped. That we should agree on, right?

So I can see two ways of getting Aguero and a new defense. Unless we have 100M to spend :flag1: , it would have to be something like:

Diego + Tiago and €€€
Diego + Giovinco and more €€€

That's a terrible team. Marrone and Trez shouldn't start for us next season. And someone said something about width. I completely agree with that. Our problem is that we have relied too much on Diego to make all the difference on his own. We've given him no support.

We need to play a 4-2-3-1 or a classic 4-4-2. If Diego stays, the former choice is far more likely.

As far as the transfers go. I'd sell Trezeguet, Sali, Grosso, Poulsen, Zebina, IQ, Tiago, Amauri, Camoranesi, Caceres.

Get Bonnuci, Criscito, Pazzini, Cassano, Maggio.

-----------------------Buffon----------

--Maggio--Bonnuci--Chiellini---Criscito-

----Marchisio---------Melo/Sissoko------

----------Giovinco-----Diego----Cassano----

---------------Pazzini--------------------

I don't think any team in Italy can match this one in creativity upfront. The team is fairly solid at the back. Try and get a good right back, but I think someone like Maggio would do for now.

Landing both Cassano and Pazzo now that Doria is in the CL is impossible keeping in mind our inability to make them a huge offer.

Trez had two problems this year: fitness and a player like DP injured too often, yet our best scorer. You put Kun next to him with Diego he will be good for at least another season doing what he does best. He shouldn't have to leave.

As for the width concern I agree partially but if we solidify our back line then that will make our midfield better in terms of possession. I replaced Momo with Marrone because he can pass ten times better and the team I made Marrone would be the only youth gamble and he would have strong players all around him. You would have 3 very hard working mids, two of which can pass well while the other one needs a coach to give him the right role(melo).

Caceres and Criscito will be able to give us a better option on the flank compared to Zeb, Gry, DC, Gross. Its not "only" about width here, that's just an excuse. Trez flourished so well because he is in the right place and knows how to finish. Diego and Kun can shoulder the creative burden. Hell they could play in a 4321 to give you width if you wish. And of your only concern is Marrone then we also have Ekdal as well. Either way, the lineup I proposed doesn't ask us to sell or mis-use diego and it also gives us a new backline at a fraction of the cost of some other lineups I've posted myself or have seen posted.

Our midfield will be better in terms of posession, but it would still go through Diego, which is too predictable. Besides, Del Neri is a 442 man, maybe 433, I doubt you'll see a 4312....

Same, I don't think it'll happen though. If theres any chance at getting Aguero then we should. He would fit our new formation like a glove and as much as I love Diego, Aguero is too good to miss out on.

Amauri(bah)

Aguero

Giovinco-Melo-Marchisio-Krasic

Criscito-Chiellini-Bonucci-Motta

Buffon

You have a realistic team there.

Sorry double post.

Lets be honest how many people truly want Aguero? For me our main competition would be Chelsea but I feel they will go for Kaka instead.

i want Aguero instead of Diego.. i just don't see Diego doing great here and i don't like his style that much and the biggest problem that we treat him like Zidan and he ain't like him and it makes the whole team more related to him with no support..

I think so too, Chelsea and City are the only ones who truly have the funds up front. Chelsea are not interested it appears. City would rather want Zlatan right now, but that can change fast.

Neither of Real or Barca need him, so i'd say it is possible.

And I wonder, how much does CL mean dor a guy like that. He is 21, he knows he'll be playing CL every season after this if he comes, and Juve must have more allure than city. Are players really that narrow minded, or am I just being a juve fan?
