I think, even by City's, Barca's and Chelsea's standards we've got quite a transfer kitty. And I just think we'd be in the race to sign a particular type of player if he was our first choice just as much as those other clubs if we showed an interest before they did. The thing is, we lack a single minded focus as to what we want from our team. And the expectations we'd like to have. As you can see in the Rossi deal, we're spending just for the sake of it.

This year, we've got a fair amount to spend comparable to the budgets of bigger clubs across Europe. I don't get what your defending here, coz Rossi is coming.
