If that's true then he still has some reason in him, even in a freaking club like Real Madrid. If he wanna take advantage of Barca next season Ibra/Tevez would be a step far far better than Aguero/Neymar.
Well, its a known fact that with ibra you win titles, however, tevez in their attack instead of de maria would be the bomb

cr7-ozil-tevez
----higuain

supported by alonso and the new CDM, nice

also, it could be likely madrid uses aguero as a fake alternative to the player they really want(like tevez), so that his club wouldnt be asking an insane price

leaves us at just how serious marotta is about getting him, and agnelli's promise to fund it
i'm convinced marotta can sign him given the budget

however, i believe both elkann and agnelli are full of shit and spread lies about investments to play into the public opinion

If Real aren't willing to upset Atletico then we are the only viable option (at the moment...)

I wouldn't write this one off yet... Marotta would elevate himself onto a pedestal if he did pull it off...

You really can't say what he's going to want in three years from now.
It's often a fixation these guys have of playing for a certain club in their careers. And they want to see that dream through. In this case, Real. cR, Kaka, Zizou to a lesser extent. No point investing big money on a player and treat him like DPs heir, espesh one who will not be here for the next decade. Also, what he's doing to the fans of Athletico is utterly disrespectful. Like I said before I'd hate to see a player like that inherit Del Piero's legendary 10.

Ps: Just to point out, there's no prejudice here, but I'd hate to see us spend 45m on a player who by the looks of it would not be a long term investment. The fact that he wants to go to Real now, might change momentarily, if he goes elsewhere. But eventually, he'll want to play there.

Assuming, he's coming in as the star this team is going to ride on, on and off the field, I think it would be wasted investment, not just from an economic point of view, but for the fans, who'd give him that pedestal of a favourite, loved player. I'd much rather somebody a little more loyal get that position.
