I wonder why Conte wanted to hold on to him. What's the point? Even after his decent performance in the Coppa he didn't get any minutes until now. And he obviously wasn't ready for it. It was just time for rotation and he was brought on regardless of whether it was the right time for him.

To me, he's just a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Came in and showed a glimpse of potential and because of his characteristics he was immediately hyped as the next Del Piero. What a load of crap and unfair weight on his shoulders.

Sometimes when I see Gio try and fail some move, I honestly think he is actually trying to fill those expectations, instead of playing HIS game well.

As much as I disagree with fans boo-ing him (or any Juventino for that matter), if it helps all sides to realize that that he will never be happy at this club, it might actually do some good.

He came in a time the team was not apt for him. Is sad. I think he has potential to play on wings in a 433, or in a counter attacking team.

But as a SS in a 352 he is totaly useless.

However, I don't really blame you for your ignorance on Giovinco. You probably see him as a limited little player who tries to gives his best for the team and sadly fucks up cause he's not good enough.

You probably don't really know how, throughout his career, he's always had a terrible behaviour with Juventus, especially when he was at Parma and thought he would have never come back, he said some really despicable thing, like that he got kicked out and we were not a serious business, and fans didn't defend him. Then hinted that Del Piero could decide everything at was even his fault. Really ridiculous.

Then he comes back, plays shit, and instead of trying to improve humily, he's arrogant, doesn't accept any critic, not even founded, cause he feels that he's "El fenomeno della Cantera" and can't be criticized, does provoking celebrations in front of our fans, writes on Facebook "This goal is for our butthurt fans" and logically he gets insulted then and has to close the page... Really, let's be serious, how much brain can have this kind of player, leaving apart his (none) utility on the pitch? I'll tell you: NOTHING. He behaved really bad as a person, and not once, but more times throughout the years, and there's not to be surprised if he gets jeered. Of course Conte does what he has to do as a manager, but we should do what we feel as fans, and I'm not surprised if someone felt offended by him (it's not the first time he gets jeered, but this time was from everywhere in the stadium). we need 4 homegrown players next season... i would put it this way: 2nd and 3rd GK + Marchisio and Giovinco... if he leaves we would need another homegrown player (probably 5th striker)... Palladino???

I guess the key question is with the current lack of form, what would his market value be on the transfer market. Transfermkt.com usually has inflated values - but the value they place on him is EU14m - that is highly unlikely. My guess is his value is now in the EU5-10m range. If his value is towards the bottom of THAT range - maybe we should keep him and maybe loan him out because he is a much better player than what he has shown this season.

If a bid above EU10m comes, then yes we should definitely sell him.

The formation doesn't suit him, and neither does he have the temperament to adapt at this level. He is beyond his depth at a club like Juve, and it'll do him good to move on. I think we transfer listed him along with Vucinic and Quag, but he too refused a move elsewhere. Sadly, unlike the other two, he can't offer anything here, unless we go 433. And frankly, I feel really bad for him that he was booed the way he was, coz he's still a Juve player and going out there to play for us. Sad to see 'Tuz like behaviour in the real world.
