Selling half of him for 3.5m was wrong, but I won't go into an argument if it was right or wrong to sell him, despite the answer being pretty clear. What was shocking is who did we get to replace him. Martinez and Lanzafame!
Yes, those two were our original LW's and when they failed, as expected, we improvised with the CM Marchisio and then with the RW Pepe, all of which have zero of Giovinco's talent. And we actually lost some 10m eur in the process.
who knows del neri did try pasquato ekdal esposito and lanzafame in the pre season in that position maybe he thought that one of these guys could do the job in any case what was more of a issue for me is the lack of imagination to solve the problem in the winter transfer window by than everyone could clearly see that the lm was a problem and that martinez marchisio and pepe weren't the solution to this problem.

I guess I'll just have to keep watching 2009/10 season games against Atalanta and Sampdoria and wonder what could've been. Heartbreaking saga, just end this please.

Are you still arguing that he is not good enough to be in our club, our club of the last two seasons?
No.

But being good enough to be at our club in the last two seasons would qualify about 10,000 players.

I'm arguing with Giovinco's two games against Juventus being indicative of his performances over the season. A glance shows that not to be the case. I've seen him and he is always busy and skillful, but so are some Serie B players.

 @ those claiming he saves his best two performances against juventus. He has been playing like this all year!

I can't believe there are some still refusing to admit the blatantly obvious here...we fucked up letting him go. The kid oozes class and those who deny that are tactically inept .

I don't know why folks still listen to those who have been continuously wrong all year. Who cares what they say about Giovinco, the proof is in the pudding. He's far superior to anything we've got.

Oh no you did not. You did NOT just compare Giovinco to some Serie B player! :sergio:
