But we are not barca and we don't have a well oiled machine. He would be a liability in current situation on the left. First we would need invest so we could acomodate him.

And Pepe was a good signing, in my oppinion he is much better option the gio now.
That is exactly what the guy is saying. Buy a solid LB to cover the left, and let Gio flourish. Do the same on the right.

As Andy would say..."It's not rocket science".

No he isn't young anymore. I can't fathom what he would have done for us given as much time as we have given Amauri considering how much he did do for us with the little time he was given.

Use good judgment here people. Gio is no Krasic, we all know this. But he is better than martinez and for the most part pepe as well. Pepe just tracks better back defensively. But had we not spend that massive 12m on martinez and what ever fee we paid to get Pepe we could have gotten a sweet LB.

I'm sorry, but from a business perspective. That was just bad business.
I don't know about him being better than Martinez, but buying Martinez is a question mark, give him chance maybe he will do something good, he certianly had less chance then Gio.

Pepe not only tracks back he has even decided some games, and in some he was very effective in helpin the whole team. Not to mention that he is covering a lot of space and always runs and tries tu be available.

While about Amauri I don't even want to talk. This thing with Amauri is some freak accident imo.

I'm not saying Gio instead of Pepe. I'm saying Pepe and Gio can co-exist. Our team needs depth and rotation depending on the opponent.

To be a well-oiled machine we need fullbacks...our center mid is finally powerful...our center backs are super... our supporting attackers are good...

Striker can come last but full backs have been so overlooked and would have cured it all...we could have indulged in attacking type wingers like Krasic on either side...

I don't think that Gio is worth investment to accomodate him, I don't see him anything more than a sitational sub in a bigger team.

I’m ready and armed to the teeth

Performing withint the same mean? Isn't that saying they are the same performence wise?

Why do you people rate this guy so much? He is not young anymore, he will probably not have any drastic improvements in his performence it is very likely he is near his peak abiilities, so what do you see in him that makes him so special?
The same thing can be said for 90% of our current roster

Ding Ding Ding!!! We have another winner!

This guy is on point today. Gio, though is not world class by any means would have done more for us this season (or at least the same) as Pepe given that he would have been given the same amount of playing time. On top of that, Gio was free.

Quality fullbacks are hard to come by, it is not easy to reinforce that area. But I agree that we need deapth, especialy now, too many injuries.

You can't cover sides of the field with one player.
Please re-read my post. If we buy to strong full backs (1 FOR EACH SIDE) we will be fine.

No, you might be right. But we should have bought a strong LB and kept the just as usfull as Pepe "Gio" until we could buy a real LM. That would have been smarter.

What investment? The fact we already need to be decent fullbacks?

Really you wanna keep Grosso around with his lame ass crosses from the back to the opponents goalkeeper? Or De Ceglie as LB who obviously isn't made to be a LB but more of a LM....

Or Traore?

c'mon man...get real...we need full backs...its not an investment...ITS A NECESSITY

No matter how good he plays, they will always call him an overrated garbage. It's called denial.

The man was amongst players with the best ratings so far in serie A. Scored 2 goals against us (ironically) today. But still they'll find a way to underrate him.

No point in wasting u're engery on this topic.

Maybe, but maybe we couldn't buy a proper LB, that is why they decided on Pepe. Or maybe the coach like many before him said that he will not be included in the plans for some reason.

Your post of gazilions of lol smiles said otherwise.
I was lol'ing at the situation, Os. Don't you find it funny that the one guy we were drooling over 2 years ago that we never played and asked to leave scored 2 against us? Even martin laughed.

That's not what I was laughing about. In fact I exaggerated, because I didn't find it all that funny in the end, what is repeated tends to be less funny.

I would like to state that " I am not proud of a Juventus lose"
- Giovinco may have gotten minimal touches on the ball but he scored two goals.
**That BTW is called effiency something only del piero and quaq posses atm
- Yes, there was a red card
**But that doesn't take away from his performance, he worked hard for those two goals
- Glad to see he didn't celebrate as it shows where his heart is.
** I'd love to see a recall especially now since quaq was injured (Sad)

Del Piero call him up ;)
