It is indeed, if he learns to stay on his feet, he will be great!

oh and Gooooooooooooooooooooooalllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll!!!!!!!!! :weee:

:D

I've never once doubted his talent.

Yes, I am convinced that Cassano is a much more talented player. In fact he's probably the most talented player in Italy.

I just have serious doubts, and I'm sounding like a broken record, that he will ever be the player that everyone hopes he can be, considering he is quite frankly, a frail player

so far with the "technical decision" to not field giovinco ... there is no change of formation and camo does take the spot of giovinco .... i really see no technical decision in here other that ferrara believing camo is a better trequartista then giovinco

I don't know what people think he will, but I think he can be as good as Cassano. Cassano is also very talented but never played on top of his potential, I am afraid Giovinco had this similar problem. But I am not pessimist at all about him, if he and the club have some patience, he can do it!

For the sake of the team, I hope so

His problem is his physic and it doesn't make any sence to argue about that and criticize him for that because it is what it is and it won't change.
He is fucking small and he already weights much for his size.

Right, I obviously don't.

You got me all figured out.

Do some research on my posts in this thread before you make assumptions.

My point is and always been, that he doesn't have the physicality to withstand a full season playing 90 minutes a game every week

And it does make a difference to when he has made assists when he has come on as a substitute. he has the distinct advantage of going into a situation where he is fresh against competition which is at a much different level of fatigue.
Not only his physicality causes him problems when it comes to 90 min matches. I think he thinks way to much when he knows he's a starter and he has to do something now and everyone looks at him and hopes he's del Piero or Diego.

Seriously, we do have a finishing issue and Cassano wont help us in that.
Giovinco wont help us either, but we can always use him as sub to Diego.
In 5 years from now, he might reach Cassano status today, what else could we ask?
If he does, we have a great sub for the next 5 years and a great starter for other 5 years after that! If he doesnt, he will still be a worthy bargain chip five years from now too. He might actually cost even more, as the extra exp will surely make him even marginally better!

Think about it, its plain logic!

Do you think that Giovinco can achieve Cassano level in five years while not playing regular football and just being a sub for a star player?

I would suggest you to think, because it certianly isn't a plain logic. It's plain wishfull thinking if you ask me.

i agree.. i said it yesterday and i would say it today people here looks under their feet.. no vision for the future at all and all this crap for just 2 or 3 matches when some players like Amauri who plays like shit for long time doesn't get all this argument..

On the contrary,
i gave my opinion for both cases (if he does reaches
Cassano's level and if he doesnt)
at any case, its a win win situation for us! To outline the "failing" scenario once more;

As long as Giovinco doesnt lives up to his potential,
he will be a sub, and IMO he is good enough for a sub, nursing our current need for a decent Diego sub.
Five years from now, he will be better than he is now at any case (even marginally better) and even if he doesnt reaches Cassano's level, he will cost more than he does now (because he will still be as young as Cassano is now) and land us a better profit!
In the mean time, we have a decent sub for Diego, no need to invest on other subs, until sell him and we will still having a chance to have a new world class player, without any kind of investment, in case he lives up to the expectation.

Wishful thinking would be that we would rely on him as a starter in the next 10 years!
Keeping him as Diego's sub and see what happens isnt wishful thinking,
just prudent thinking, that takes in consideration both scenarios and is open to a various of changes!

Wishful thinking is that Cassano will change and adapt here and now, in our system, at this level.
Wishful thinking is that the Cassano-Amauri duo will be more prolific than the Iaquinta-Amauri duo is now.
Wishful thinking is that we will have no issues if we use/rotate Diego and Cassano for the same role...

Consider the long term needs of our team:
-We need a Diego subber, good enough to emulate his extremely important/essential work/role in our team. Someone who is young enough to sit on the bench, more than Diego without complaining, but also already good enough to offer some serious assist now!
-Once Treze leaves, we will need a starter finisher to complete Amauri's lack of finishing.
(Aging DP and Iaq can only play marginal roles, in the near future)

Where does Cassano serves our needs there??
Cassano is a great tool, but we have our very own needs and strengths.
We already have a SS creative as him (Amauri) and an AMF of his status (Diego).
Turning one of them into a sub, would be unwise and undermine our investment on them! And even worse, we would still have to buy a finisher anyway and a replacement to Diego, if we offload Giovinco too!

Cassano right now would only make sense, if we were to sell Amauri or Diego! Or if we change our formation and bench one of Diego,Melo,Sissoko and Marchisio. Counterproductive in both cases...

Fuck Cassano, he doesn't want us anyway. According to him and Sampdoria we have made a bunch of offers to sign him but he has rejected us every time and he's still not interested in joining us.

I hope Giovinco will have a great career. Whether he stays or leave the club he's been a top profissinal and he did respect the club all those years and worked he's ass to be part of this club.

Forzaa giovinco....

Where does it work?

IQ scores but wastes chances, Amauri in his form right now does nothing good for Juve. I would rather play Iq - Trez or Iq - Gio or Trez - Gio.
Easy, you are making it sound like Amauri has been horrible all season and that he is a Serie B player. Stop exaggerating, the guy has been bad for two games.
