I mean next season is going to be so important for him.if juventus is going to play 4-3-1-2 then again Seba is not in the starting line up.he cant play in the middle.he is not first choice while Diego is the Atacking midfielder and doesnt seem he is on of the first two strickers ?

Gio deserves he's place in the team.

As much as we all love del piero but i think its completely fair to replace del piero with Gio at this point in time.

Alex replaced Baggio who was back then "the best in the world" and he was still young back then (27 year old) so it was a pretty hard decision to replace such a high profile player with an unknown talented player (big gamble but it paid off).

Are you suggesting the Gio of today is as good as Alex was when he was 19?

Am not saying he's as good or not. All what am saying is that del piero replaced one of the best players in the world when he was still young. So gio at 22 replacing alex who's soon to be 35 is not such a hard decision to make.

And yes Gio has the talent to be alex's replacement. Am not one of those who are obssesed with young italian players (am not even a fan of the italian NT). But Gio has the talent + the mentality to be a big star in the future.

That would be amazing. I thought they were great last year when they played together. Catania and 2nd half v Bologna were up there with our best performances last year imo.

No one said otherwise, Alex means much more to the fans than Baggio thats for sure. He gave much more than Baggio or any other player ever did to this club thats something that is not even debatable.

My point was that the club at some point believed in del piero and they've gave him the chance to be part of this club even though he replaced a Huge star back then who was still relatively young.

I just hope those on charge right now will have the same faith in Gio thats all.

I think he will play a lot next season. If Giovinco just gets the chance to play regularly he will easily make the Azzurri squad for WC 2010. I think Lippi is going to have a talk with Ciro and make him understand that Giovinco is needed in South Africa.
