I love the results from the poll in this thread.

Anyone who wouldn't trade Giovinco in a second for Cassano is nuts.
Don't be so naive. The poll was conducted when Gio was a promising youngster who knew to keep his mouth shut at the very opportunity of playing for a club like Juventus and when Cassano was still a pain-in-the-ass prima donna. Why on earth would anyone want to trade the two?

Hindsight is always 20/20 :disagree:

I wanted to get Cassano as soon as I heard about the possible deal for him to join Samp. I know its easy to praise him now but really I've been arguing to sign Cassano every mercato for years now, he has always been talented this is nothing new.

But we're not talking about his talent. You mocked the poll so I just wanted to point out the rationale behind those that voted against such a deal.

Don't make rash decisions just because the club/forum is going through hard times.
It's not a rash decision, this place is not for me, this place is for the mature big club fans like Andy who knows how to support, it is a place for those who think making fun of one's eyes is acceptable, it is a place to whine and cry, it is a place to wait for assholes to bash the club so that the real fans praise them, it is a place bring down the club rather than support it.

I am not any of these.

Not exactly tactful thing to say of him, but I CANNOT believe you guys are making this big of a deal about it? Jeez.
I think almost anytime a player mentions Juventus after leaving it becomes a much bigger deal around here then it should be. The typical headlines that FI uses don't help either.

We tried to fuck his career up, simple. He was always good and we never gave him the chance. If we'd given him the chance, by now he could have been so far along in his career, instead we treated him unfairly and did everything do to hinder his progress and now he has to start all over again with Parma.

Anyway, all of this doesn't really matter at this point, I've had a feeling about the relationship between him and Juventus was over and this just proves that. This is it, its over..

The thing is, I can't blame him, from his part, he did everything correctly. He played good when given the chance, didn't complain when he was benched and was always loyal to the club. Us on the other hand, we never believed in him and we basically tried to fuck his career up without caring. We acted like complete jerk offs towards him. How can a club have one of the finest talents out there who happens to support the club, be from the city and got his football education in the club and not give him the chance? Shouldn't they have a soft spot for players like that? Look, we always expect the players to act loyal to the club but what about our own club, don't they have to be loyal to its own, especially to players who supported the club?

Just ban anybody who criticizes the club, that's what it comes down to basically.
Nobody is saying not to criticise the club but when that criticism is in every other post I can understand Jack in saying it gets rather monotonous. Everyone is free to share their views and beliefs but once aired is it worth getting the dirty laundry out again?

A forum is part of real life. Its not an embodiment of real life but its a component. And in forums there is diversity of opinion, I don't get how you can come on here not expecting to see that.
Diversity in opinion is welcome but some moron telling thousands that the way they support their club is wrong without giving any idea on how it should be done is something different.
