Gio is in the wrong this time, no doubt about it. Nothing to understand.

I dont put much stock to celebratng or not celebrating goals, but he seems to make a point of he will be celebrating to rub whatever grieviances he feels. Bit meh.

I don't really get why he's a douche at all. He was disrespected by Juventus his entire professional career. He's a professional footballer and he's moving on with his life and career. If he wants to celebrate a goal against us then he has every right to do that.
As fans we wouldn't dream of doing so but he is a professional footballer for heavens sake. He owes it to Parma to celebrate with his team mates and fans in scoring. After all, they're the ones playing him and showing him some respect.

The fans showed him nothing but love, an over zealous celebration hurts only one group the fans. Every player knows this. If he's against the fans and my proxy me, then fuck him.

That's not why he's doing it though. He said he's doing it because he was mistreated and he admits that Juve fans, who supported him, will be upset.

The potential celebration will be his personal vendetta against 2 or 3 individuals and in the process he'll hurt the feelings of millions. And he is actually aware of all this.

He never says his intention is to upset Juventus fans. He just says that even though they love him he still wants to celebrate against us especially given that he was mistreated at Juve.

Stop being such pussies and get over it. The man has the right to enjoy his career and move on. Its not like he's done a Criscito and fucked us off completely. He's just maintaining his rights as a football player and a team member. As fans of Giovinco, its disrespectful to him as a player to not allow him to do so.

Yeah, not really a smart answer. When he was asked that question he really should have responded differently:

* No I won't, out of respect for the fans, the club, whatever
or
* I can't answer that right now, it will be a spur of the moment thing

Well then you really never did respect him as a player.
I did and I still do, I respect his ability and his patience.

What I do not respect is that he is fully aware that such behaviour is an act against the fans and the fans only, and doesn't signify anything to the board/coach. He knows yet he still plans to do it? that's poor form.

Hahaha I scored against the team you support!

Wow, what a guy :touched:

Give me a break.

When did he say that he is celebrating out of spite? What he is saying is that there was nothing that Juve had done for him that should disallow his right to celebrate with his team mates.

Your reaction just highlights your double standards and immaturity on the topic of Giovinco's rights. Apparently he isn't allowed to move on with his career. The guy is part of a team ffs. What respect does not celebrating a goal show to Parma who have embraced him whole heartedly? Well you don't really give a shit, you're biased. Maybe he should just sit the whole game out. You know, out of respect for all the support we've given him.

Barca youth system produces talents. Juve youth system produces infidels.
 Well said, Alen.

That said, Giovinco is like the David Hasselhoff of Italian football. But instead of "We're big in Europe" (or Germany), it's "I'm big at Parma" (or Empoli).
