About what?

- - - Updated - - -

So, since, I last posted here, Aberdeen have cleared their debt of approximately £15m and have motored to the top of the league.

Six wins in a row in the league.

No goals conceded in that run.

- - - Updated - - -

General feeling that if we can make a couple of good signings and Celtic $#@! up appointing their new coach, there could just be the outside possibility of a title challenge this season.
:facepalm2:

Absolutely no chance. With the greatest respect why do Aberdeen fans always have the most unrealistic expectations?

Does the winner get direct CL berth or do they have to go through qualifiers?
Celtic were raped by both Legia and then Maribor, so I guess qualifiers.

Still can't see a realistic title challenge happening.

Would be happy if both Aberdeen and Dundee Utd managed it but lets be honest, there is half a season to go, Celtic have a game in hand and they have had their bad run of form and I am confident they will win the league by a minimum of 10 points with little fuss.

We've done this despite losing twice to Celtic.

We deserved to lose at Parkhead, but we still would have got a draw out of it had we been awarded a penalty for a clear handball late on.

We didn't deserve to lose at Pittodrie, but they pinched it at the end after we'd created and missed chances through the second half.

So we're actually doing better against the rest of the league than Celtic are. No reason to think we won't do better against Celtic in the head-to-heads in the second half of the season.

We play Celtic straight after they play away to Inter, so we'll have a clearer picture after that game at Parkhead.

Celtic don't play much in January and then they have a pretty tough February.

A group of Celtic fans took out a full-page advertisement in a paper yesterday to publish this:

Pretty funny, but also a rather good summary of the situation.

Could all be pretty tense in Glasgow in a couple of weeks for the League Cup semi's.

Celtic and New Rangers fans will be gearing up to face each other on the Sunday.

Meanwhile ~20,000 Dons fans will be rolling into town for our game against Dundee Utd on the Saturday.

Potential confrontations abound...

Contract extension for Ash Taylor until 2017.

He's been outstanding since settling in to the team.

Utterly dominant physical presence, reasonably mobile, good footballer.

We are getting very close to a situation where there is real stability and the potential to build a strong team for the next couple of years:

??????

Logan-Taylor-Reynolds-Considine

Jack--Flood

McGinn--Pawlett--Hayes

Rooney

Everyone apart from Logan and Jack is under contract until at least 2017.

And there are talks ongoing with Jack and all indications are that he'll sign.

And why wouldn't he stay?

Born in Aberdeen, been at the club forever, key player in the team that is top of the league.

Well, the glorious run came to an end.

Got ahead and were so comfortable that focus was lost and ended up behind at half time.

Then everything conspired against us through most of the second half, but we forced in a couple of late goals to sneak a draw.

A good way for the winning run to end in a way. Having stolen a point late on, people at least come out the game feeling pretty positive, even though it's a disppointing result.
