Decent game between organised, committed sides.

Diamond's failure to deal with Kyle was the difference between the sides.

Kyle, like he did with Kilmarnock, gets away with a ridiculous amount. He could have been sent off within the first ten minutes for twice leading with an elbow when going for high balls.
you know its funny, because at Tynecastle he gets away with nothing,in fact the last 3 home games i have seen him manhandled, bossed, bullied and bruised by the CB's and get absolutely nothing!

sounds like we were extremely well organised at the back(thank god for Zaliukas) and when you keep it tight like that you will win more than you lose, the only downside i can see is that young Templeton has been dropped to the bench as he has had a brilliant start to the season. will be interesting when we get Driver and Wallace back, with that squad we really should be claiming 3rd....however we get more ridiculous injuries that Juve do

My understanding of it is because companies who sponsor either team are wary of losing business from the rival team's fans, such is the strength of the support, so it is better to sponsor both at the same time.

Aye, it was a demolition job for the first hour.

If Barca had scored a goal like our first one, the world would have been wetting its collective pants.

How was your weekend in town? Make it to anywhere better than the East Neuk?

wtf, Rudi Skacel? The Rudi Skacel? Wasn't he a left winger? He was shit at Marseille. :D
aye the same one,he was a sensation in his first spell at Hearts, then Southampton bought him and played him out of position.
his career stalled massively and now he has returned to the club where he was loved by the fans and now, half fit, scored a hat-trick at the weekend

doesn't say much for the level of Scottish football i know but its strange when something like this happens and a player and club just seem to "click" together

kind of like Hleb at Arsenal

nah just got blitzed there, shit pub but what can you do?
one thing that strikes me about Aberdeen though is that the streets are quite narrow with wide pavements, but then i suppose its the only way 2 Aberdonians can walk down the street without going in single file

Another thread has thrown me into nostalgia, to a time when shorts were worn tightly, moustaches were worn with a vengeance, barnets were worn to great hilarity and Scotland still had wonderful players.

One constant has remained: Archie MacPherson.

Not many other similarities between then and now.

Eric Black's overhead kick in that video was remarkably similar to the one Berbatov scored against Liverpool a few weeks ago.

Celtic had a penalty given to them, then taken away against Dundee Utd a couple of weeks ago and, though it was a correct decision, Celtic felt cheated.

Rangers then beat Celtic getting a penalty from a clear dive.

Celtic, therefore, have turned their media machine up to full power over the last week, claiming the world is against them and they never get any decisions going their way.

Because of all that, and the fact this Aberdeen team lacks backbone, I expected a thrashing.

This meant that an early red card for our captain was no surprise, nor were the three penalties Celtic got.

It was just a couple of goals more than I anticipated.

When you folk complain about wee snide remarks from other teams about ref's favouring Juve and stuff, it really is nothing at all compared to knowing exactly what is going to happen after listening to the Old Firm propoganda machine going flat out the week before you play one of them.
