Inter Linked With Nasri

According to Italian daily newspaper 'Corriere dello Sport', the Nerazzurri are after the new Zidane to respond to Milan's signing of Pato.

Inter are not ready to let Milan hit all the headlines with the new purchase Pato and the Nerazzurri have therefore stepped up their chase for the young emerging talent of French football, Nasri, who has received comparisons with the legendary Zinedine Zidane despite still being very young.

In fact, according to the 'Corriere dello Sport', Inter are set to offer 25 million Euros for Nasri as Massimo Moratti has indicated the French player as the perfect reply to Milan's Pato.

Inter's first choice was Messi, but Barcelona are not intentioned of losing their star player, therefore Nasri of Marseilles has taken the top spot in Moratti's shortlist.

The Nerazzurri must face the tough challenge of Real Madrid, but Moratti seems very convinced in signing a new star player for Inter.

Look at it this way: Instead of giving 22 million Euros for Almiron and Tiago, Juventus could have used 22 million € for Nasri or Van der Vaart.....

true but they r 2 very good players as well...and i dont think Nasri is at a higher level than either Tiago or Almiron...and VDV is cheaper than that

well .. theyre all different players with different skills and all have their own thing to offer . Either way , nasri or vdv were not going to come to juve in any case .

I think Van der Vaart would give to any team 2x more than Almiron and Tiago.
i have to disagree here , VdV would do well on the wings but doesnt have the creative vision of almiron or the ability to distribute the ball like tiago , like i said everyone has their own thing to offer .

Van der Vaart is equally good as a centre midfielder so he can offer as much as Almiron, and even more.

Of course VdV is class. But Almiron is looking promising during pre-season and should be given more of a chance.
You can't really compare them. All I know is that considering the players we had in our squad, I prefer getting two good MCs, rather than getting one AMC...

Van der Vaart is useless on the wings and he is also useless as a central midfielder. He can only play directly behind the strikers as playmaker or as a support striker. He is a 'moment-footballer', if you understand what I mean? He has a few great moves, skills or shots in a game that can be very influential, but he has no consistent or constant contribution.

Tiago and Almiron are completely different to Van der Vaart. I DO think Almiron could function just as good as Van der Vaart as playmaker(albeit it differently), while he is also able to play in different role as already showcased.

I agree with what you say... still I believe we badly need AMF... I mean if the likes of Milan (Kaka, Seedorf, Gourcuff) and RM (Robinho, Raul, Higuain) thought they should follow the likes of Pato, Rubben and Nasri I see no reason for Juve with only a 35 years old Nedved not to consider such solution.

Dominic,

I dont know too much about Almiron other than odd match or two I have seen him play against Inter, us and Milan. There is too many ifs with our forwards: Injuries, adjustment, and youth (Palladino), which leads me to believe we will need to pick up scoring somewhere from the midfield. Neither Tiago, Camoranesi and Almiron are genuine threat, as even Camo never had a season in which he scored more than 4 goals from mid. This means Nedved has to pick up a load of attacking substance. Then again, Nedved is reaching end of career with many uncertainty.

Regardless of what is VDV's best position, we should have signed him up as a cover to our team and potential first teamer. He has outrageous goal scoring record from playing deeper position on the pitch even if you have to somewhat discount the level of competition he played up to now. I personally think DVD is really a segunda punta playing deeper in the field. His passing isnt any spectacular, he doesnt carry balls like Ronaldo or Kaka. But VDV can do little flicks or two, and score goals on a regular basis. Somewhat similar to Ale IMO.

Anyway, I am somewhat worried about Tiago. I have seen him play against Monaco last season's match couple of days ago, and if people here wants to crucify Emerson for lack of imagination, then well, they might as well sharpen their knives for Tiago. Nevertheless, this season is more of squeeze out last juice from our senators, and reach CL than winning scudetto, which is naturally reflected in our mercato strategy with complementary players rather than stars coming to this team. I won't complain as long as we make CL. But next year, we better sign Nasri. The boy is absolute prodigy. I love the guy. Full of running, trickery, imagination, flair, I feel he is the best prospect in European game by far. Though I must reserve my full judgement until I see more games with Marseille in CL.
