Inter want Verratti, Berardi

Inter will reportedly look to sign Paris Saint-Germain’s Marco Verratti and one of Domenico Berardi or Federico Bernardeschi in the summer.

The Nerazzurri have all-but confirmed a deal for Atalanta’s Roberto Gagliardini, who will officially complete his move this week.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, this is the first step in a plan by owners Suning Group to create an Italian core at Inter, and the main piece of the puzzle is Verratti.

The newspaper reports that the Beneamata have already had contact for the PSG midfielder, who is also liked by Juventus.

The deal is not easy, as the French club would play hardball over one of their crown jewels, and any transfer could total €70m-€80m.

It’s thought the Nerazzurri would over Ivan Perisic in exchange, in order to lower the cash value.

In addition, Gazzetta believes that Suning also want to sign either Sassuolo’s Domenico Berardi or Federico Bernardeschi of Fiorentina.

Finally, Berardi’s teammate Francesco Acerbi is being considered as a €10m defensive reinforcement.

So that article states that Inter wants to have an Italian core of players and continues by mentioning players in the order of Verratti -> Berardi -> Bernardeschi -> Acerbi.

If that ain't pure trolling I don't know what is.

Hard to say actually. Another year without CL and they can spend Chinese money as much as they want. Verratti is out of reach for them I guess because he'd refuse them but we're more stacked than they are so players like Berardi and Bernardeschi aren't that obvious. We have to remember that if we deal with Viola, they'll sell Bernardeschi for less elsewhere just to piss us off. All that matters in those cases is the will of players. Inter will definitely make life harder for us now, even if they have no chance to get Verratti, they can push the price for us which PSG would surely like if it came to 'bidding war' .

I agree they will be a nuisance raising the price of Verratti or anyone else. But I feel like they wouldn't be able to get Bernardeschi and I'm still hoping Berardi will come here.
