Hernanes is on close to the same wages right? Or just sell Sturaro and Hernanes and Move Asamoah to LB and revamp the midfield that way. Buy 2 good mids and one young prospect and be done with it. Witsel situation really screwed us as far as quality depth. We could have added one good mid this summer and had a great mid if we had witsel. Marchisio,Khedira,Pjanic,Witsel and a wc strong mid would help a lot
There is no way we'll sell Khedira in the summer, he'll be here fighting for the starting spot no matter whom we'll sign. He is a quality player and has shown it throughout his career. We just need to find a working midfield lineup and I think Allegri is close to finding it with the four man diamond.

I agree with @Mark saying he was better when he didn't play that much. He seems to be out of steam. I think the Euros might have taken it's toll on Sami's condition too. I would like Lemina to be given more chances allowing Sami to rest.
Why is he the problem? In the wrong midfield Pirlo is a problem too. Khedira keeps the balance in a midfield and is very intellectual. The problem is we have no strong midfielder to provide balance. We had that with Pogba and we replaced him with a soft mid in Pjanic. We need to bring in someone that has great quality and is a physical presence and can cover some ground. Asking him to cover a lot of ground and be something hes not is like asking Pjanic to contribute a lot to the defense. Its just not what value he can bring to the team. He has quality and can contribute but not in this mid with this role

We need to fix the hole in the midfield left by Pogba. We are saying Khedira isnt a world beater. Thats fine and we all agree with that but shipping him off and getting a worldbeater to sit next to Sturaro will only be a marginal upgrade. Teams arent stupid they will just run at him all day. The best teams have complete balance to them. Remember the days where teams only attacked our Lb in Molinaro it was almost comical. I almost felt bad for him

True, unfortunately sami is another player suffering from the deficiency 'of physical midfield steel'. Clearly his done well in his career when he had a destroyer next to him or the likes.
He was blessed during his time at Real and Germany with players of physical presence such as Xabi Alonso and Bastian Schweinster respectively. Last season he missed quite a bit of the season but again was blessed with Pogba. This season his blessed with sturaro. So as you can see theres no excuses here, his shit and we should sell him.
Hopefully Rincon is that wild card that will release sami back to what he was once capable of.

His the player whose played the fourth most minutes for us this season. Thats a lot considering his got to do duties his probably not been asked to do (which he sucks at anyway). Probably is a bit out of steam, not that he should be but we should work on using him intelligently and we might just benefit.

A lot of players are struggling after an international tournament. They join the club later than usual and need time with finding form. Sami isnt used to playing that much and needs to be rested more often than so far. We saw last season how good he can be when well rested
