I can't generalize that much, but to be honest every Iraqi I met was against Saddam and I am sure they are happy with the outcome of the trial.
I have friends who were imprisoned for years and years without doing anything except having an opposing politics to Saddam. Their families would not hear of them and they would not hear of their families. The first six months in the jails they would be tortured, if someone leaves the prison they cannot send messages with him. Why would these people and their families feel for Saddam and remember him as opposing the west?
I see no reason in that. And I won't speak anything about Kurds, what he's done to them speaks for itself.
But I understand ReBeL's point of view, he supports Saddam the same way he supported Hassan Nasralla, why? Because he has nothing to do with what they did, they fought a cause he supports without him being affected directly.

as a Kurd from Iraq, I would call for the hardest punishment for this idiot. I am not sure though if the death penalty is the hardest..
for many arab and moslem people, who do not live in Irak, Sadam has been a hero, these people do not know, I hope, what was happeinig in Irak. It was saddam and his army, who killed 5000 Kurds in north irak. 182000 men were kidnaped and no one has ever heared anything about them until today, every day the iraqies find new commen graves. It was saddam who killed so many in southern irak, it was sadam, who never let the iraqi poeple leave in peace, as he started a war after another. It is because of saddam, that the so many poor people of Irak, in a country, which is so rich.. but saddam only thought about himself.. How can you say, that this idiot will go in history as the one who was against the west??

you can't compare Saddam with Nasrallah, one of them is a criminal, the other is a leader that you are against him or his politics.

Two of my cousins were killed by the hands of Al-Sadr idiots for nothing but because they're Palestinians...
The stupid gangs claim that Saddam provided Palestine with more than what he did to his own people, and all of us know that this is a big lie...
If you follow Sunni channels on Tv, such as Salah Aldin or Al-Zawra'a. you'll find the nice daily treatment for palestinians there...
I still have two other cousins there who are waiting for their destiny, and they're phoning us from time to time crying to rescue them, but what can we do against "Bush's Freedom"??
And should I be killed to have a personal experience in your viewpoint??
