He’s thrown out of power hierarchy completely and people close to him have mostly been jailed. He had a high profile dispute with Larijani brothers (head of judiciary and speaker of the house at the time. Third brother was also very close to Khamenei) and goes who Khamenei supported.
Mahmoud has since gone scorched earth. Not sure what his calculations are, but if I have to guess he’s clinging to a faint hope of regime collapse, and hoping that post-IRI he might be able to rally his base.
His job used to be an executioner for the regime since it's early days and was literarily responsible for firing the last bullet into many heads insuring they are dead. He was also personally present during US embassy hostages ordeal.
I don't know how many of you are Persian or have actually lived in Iran but to say the shit he says and LIVE is IMPOSSIBLE period.
I'm sure he has some high grade secrets that might be protecting him in case he goes "missing" but even so the shit he says is too extreme for him to have survived this long, or at least they would have shut him the fuck up, how? By threatening his family (people disappear In Iran for writing articles, not that uncommon)..there is just no way.
It could be that ahmadinejad is set by the government to identify and monitor the opposition filtering his followers and those who give him thier ears, or to provide the people of Iran with false hope that things might one day change..
He is a straight up killer think about that, not the one who ordered killings but one that shot innocent people himself, and we are talking non soldiers here.. so what made him change and become a truth speaker now all of a sudden against a regime that gives him power and made him rich? Only a fool believes that piece of shit has a gram of sincerity.
