Rothen is a 25 year-old recently international French player. He plays on the left side of midfield and likes attacking (sort of Camoranesi) .. he played for Monaco 37 matches last season and scored 4 goals .. was nominated as best player of Ligue 1 'Le Championnat' for the months of December and February whereas he was selected as best player in the club for the months of January and March .. according to statistics he is one of the best passers in the league with a very high success rate .. his widely succesful season with Monaco aroused interest from rival clubs Marseille, PSG, and Lyon but Monaco officials would prefer to sell/swap him to clubs outside of France .. Rothen had his international debut under Santini playing in a friendly against Malta .. he also had a good outing at the Confederations Cup before getting injured .. his favourite players (friends) are Henry and Gallas ..
thank you very much for all these informations, they are really usefull ... the french team is now even greater than in 1998, this is what i think, their only problem it the goal keeper but landreau could do it. but ,,, speaking about buying french players, i think it's a great idea ... i won't say that i would like pires to come too, because i know that he won't leave arsenal and that we already have a perfect playmaker ... but i would like rothen and i would have liked mexes ... ... and maybe there is a possibility for giult yoo, as i said above :).

Thats it!:fero:

Latest news is that Salas has refused to go to Monaco. Which means that we still havent sold him and no swap with rothen!:(

So far, Salas has refused to go to Betis in spain, Sporting Lisbon in Portugal and now Monaco in France. Barcelona have already said that they werent interested, which only leaves Chelsea and Liverpool, and Liverpool wanted him on a free.

ARE WE EVERRRR GOING TO SELL SALAS?:dontcare:

Where did you read he refused to go to Monaco. In previous interviews he said he would only go to (cities) Barcelona, London, and Monte Carlo (is that where Monaco's from?)

Yeah, but you cant just do it like that. If its not a mutual decision (meaning if he doesnt agree to that), you still have to pay him all the wages on his contract, in this case that would be 11.4 mil €.

 What the hell is Salas thinking? Does he really believe that Barcelona, Arsenal, or Chelsea are interested in him? :wallbang: I just hope that Moggi can think of something soon and get Salas out of here ASAP :undecide:

Yeah, I agree. It seems that Salas believes that he's still a world class striker wanted by all of the top clubs in Europe ;)

Moggi would be the perfect person to do it: "Look, you suck lad so I'm going to have to sell you and sell you now. Take your pick; Tottenham, Osasuna, Monaco or River." :D
