:agree:

Never mind that he's also the most overrated player on the entire forum. Last season it was Aguero. Can't wait to see who it will be next summer.
Aguero and Rvp are not overrated, they are one of the best at what they do, and what we'd need them to do.
So no, they are not overrated in this forum.

Aguero is far from overated. He is amazing and given the chance I`d take him without thinking twice. He is one of the best at his position! probably the best SS (along with Zlatan) after Messi and CR7

As for RVP - He is a great player but he is being quite overated from what I have seen (though it could be I probably didnt watch his best games)

He plays 1 great season, and all of a sudden, people are willing to pay dozens of millions for a 29 year old with one season left on his contract. I'd say that makes him massively overrated.

Well, when you start out by hearing names like RVP, Cavani, Higuain, and Suarez, only to end up with Dzeko, then yes, it's a fucking massive disappointment.
It's funny though that you'd say RVP is a lot better than Dzeko (has to be since Dzeko would be a massive disappointment).

You should probably check a few stats. Assuming that we are looking to add a goalscorer to the team, that is.

I'd say your assessment is 100% correct

Dzeko got those numbers
season games goals
08/09 33 30
09/10 42 28

Wolfsburg stats
10/11 20 12
City`s stats
10/11 15 2 (just got there in mid season and half of the games came from the bench)

11/12 38 14 (many games he came of the bench)

So even though he is not a pure starter he still managed to get 14 goals in 38 games
give him the starter spot and he`ll surely get 20

I wouldnt call 14 goals in a season which 14 games he was a sub a massive dissapointment...

I`d still rather us sign Cavani or Higuain but I wouldnt say that signing Dzeko is such a disaster

Dzeko has only had one impressive season, and that was @ Wolfsburg. The impact he had on the team was significant, but compared to what RVP did for a very average Arsenal side in a more competitive league, it pales in comparison.

RVP is a more complete player than Dzeko in every sense of the word. I'm not saying Dzeko is bad, far from it in fact, but when you start out expecting names of more agile, dynamic players, who can both score and create, then ending up with Dzeko would be a disappointment (massive disappointment for me because I expect a grand name in a year when we won the title with 0 losses and have just made it back in the CL).

RVP, Suarez, Cavani, and Higuain are all bigger names, and not just in terms of ability, but also image and marketability.

look at the stats! They clearly say it wasnt a one season wonder!
If you take the stats and make it per 38 games (like a season in Serie A) then you get
35 in 08/09
25 in 09/10
23 in 10/11 for Wolfsburg
14 in 11/12 for City while coming of the bench in many games (so could be even more if was a pure starter)

I see 4 good seasons and not 1! unless you consider anything under 30 goals as a bad season...
