Well nothing is 100 percent until its signed on paper. There's a lot of evidence to suggest we are probably number 1 out of any club to win his signature. injury is the most worrying thing, age? not so much, look at pirlo, he's 33 and we are still going to depend on him next season, risky? yes, but still better than relying on poulsen, pazienza and the likes, same thing with the forward situation...

It's more of a risk signing average strikers then getting world class strikers with big salaries and transfer fees because you haveto buy 2-3 average players to try and make up for 1 which costs more then actually getting 1 world class striker anyway.

How much do you personally think we can afford to spend on him then? He is 28 now, turning 29 in August.. I do like RVP and his qualities are obvious but to spend a lot of money on a player that old - we're not Merda..

Are you claiming that our budget can afford biger salaries than Inter and Milan?
Have you checked any numbers,cause last time i checked they and Milan had a much bigger financial surface than we did.
And the current rosters also speak for themselves. Did anything change so dramatically (In Platini's rules or smth else?)

I think we should pay what ever we haveto for him. Reason being; if we don't sign a "world class striker"(higuain,rvp,cavani) we will do a Secco all over again and try and buy 2-3 average/young players that cost more then 1 world class player all together and actually spend more and have less quality. We should splash heaps of cash on a second striker as well( Jovetic or Suarez) even if this costs us 60 million+ for a top striker and top second striker and we add a left back,asamoah and isla+ 1 or 2 squad signings which would cost us around 100 million and not buy a single player next season it will be worth it because the team will be complete anyway. I just don't see the point in getting for example damaio,gabbiadini and giovinco which will cost the same or possibly more then rvp+suarez. and have less quality. Quality before Quantity. Also I have a feeling fiorentina, liverpool even arsenal can take some dead wood off us elia,krasic,melo etc which would ease the wage bill
