It is hard to explain in english
but he said van persie is a guy who needs a warm home and he gets that at arsenal which is really a warm club.
and the dutch nt isn't like that, it is much harder environment.
I don't know how warm juve, but I don't think very much.

You guys understand what I mean with warm in this case?

Knowing the history about adapting problems of many dutch players in italy I don't think he fits juve/italy perfectly
I am scared he will face the same problems as Bergkamp had at inter in the past.

He isn't that though as someone like Sneijder or Davids, he is more like Bergkamp and van der Sar.
What do you mean warm? like all cuddly and huggy and kissy and faggy kind of warm? well I give you that, Arsenal is as warm as it gets in that respect. on the other hand I don't consider Juve gay at all BUT it won't get gayer than the relation between Conte/Bordello.
So if RVP wants warm I bet Conte can give him plenty of that.

Torino definitely has a warmth to it as a place to live in despite the freezing cold. :D It'll in fact be perfect for family life. As for the club, I don't personally rate Juve as a 'warm' club but most clubs dont fit that category because football has today become a business.

However, Conte's presence makes a big difference. He is an astute coach, both physically and just as importantly, psychologically. He gains his respect despite a relative lack of experience because he works more in the capacity of a mentor than a manager. It's so evident that you can see it in every player that has played for him this season. We were not even in the top two most talented teams in the league, and yet we won it because of one simple reason: teamwork. He made everybody play for each other. It is because he instilled a strong sense of belonging to everybody on the team, and will do the same for Van Persie to make him feel at home. For me, a winning environment creates a warmth and camaraderie of its own. A coach like Conte is according to me, the kind of person somebody like Van Persie would thrive under even if the other conditions you listed historically may or may not work against him.

I understand what you mean. In danish we use the term tryghedsnarkoman. It's hard to translate but something like a comfort addict or 'feeling secure' addict. Many danish talents has actually been flops due to that reason. I do believe Krohn-Dehli who beat you last night :) is one of them.

On another note, TS is reporting that we made another contact with RvP, and at Nedved and he had a long chat about the club and things were discussed at length. While its conjecture to jump to any conclusions, but they report that the conversation ended very well and it seems RvP is feeling quite convinced about the project with Juve. :tuttosport:

As for the salary, they're saying that he wants 7m, and Juve is at this point negotiating to give him 5.5m plus bonuses that will equate to about 7m on achieving certain goals. Lets do this bitches.

Beyond horrible? Harsh. And doesn't even matter really, what he does or does not do at the Euro. Weve seen him long enough know what he's capable of.

Are you freaking kidding me! Juventus are the most family oriented type of football club in Italy ( if you don't count all the corruption hype surrounding our club). Torino is a town with not much night life going on, parks, cafes and it's very quiet. I have been to Torino( and was very lucky to see a game in 2007) It seems like a very working class/family type of city. Milan,Rome and Napoli are the cities that have good night lifes and are more for younger people. Juventus players are very loyal( think the players that stayed in serie b). So to conclude the city has beautiful parks, cafes and a loyal player base it doesn't strike me as a non - family club

Arsenal open van Persie door to Juve

As reports continue that Robin van Persie has given the all-clear to Juventus, Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood admits the Dutchman could leave.
There is only a year left to run on his contract with the Gunners and van Persie has been identified as the top transfer target for the Bianconeri.
Juve Coach Antonio Conte and director of sport Fabio Paratici were in the stands for Holland’s 1-0 defeat to Denmark in order to scout the player.
“He is vital to us and has been an extremely good captain,” Hill-Wood told the Sunday Mirror.
“But if somebody comes along and offers Robin £250,000 a week then I am afraid we cannot compete with that.
“With players, you never know what they are going to do. Some players say they want silverware but when they have the chance to earn extraordinary money that has been pumped into the game, then you just have to hope they will stay because they are happy and loyal where they are.
“There are players like Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes at Manchester United who have been loyal to one club but players like that are few and far between.
“Hopefully we can reach agreement with Robin and ideally he will extend his contract. I just hope that Robin will be with us next season because I genuinely feel we can make a real challenge for the Premier League title.”

His finishing was truly terrible yesterday, but his movement was quite good. He should get involved even more though, and certainly score 1 or 2 of the chances he got. It's like he's trying too hard and can't find that certain calmness when he puts on the NT shirt.. it's very odd.

Difficult choice to make for our coach. If he keeps RVP on and he manages to score against Germany, I think we'll have a monster RVP for the rest of the tournament ( if there is a rest of the tournament.. ). If he keeps screwing up chances like he has.. well.. fuck.

is 12M per season at City warm enough?
:sergio: don't you read dutch page, his dad said he won't go to city. Van persie won't choose for the money.

not that gay stories ofcourse I mean where you feel home and everything.

How do you know Conte is a warm person and makes everyone feel home? With the italians players he did but I am curious if he can pull the same with someone who doesn't speak italian? and don't give me vidal or cacares as example cos they speak spanish and then it is easy to learn Italian. That is a big point and if you see the problems Elia and Krasic had with Conte at that part. I am still not sure, but maybe van Persie does speak Italian, but so far I know he doesn't.

take their the possibility he is our top signing and doesn't get time to adapt slowly to the league and country. Cos we need him right away to do well otherwise he and Conte/Marotta/Agnelli will get criticize heavily. Even more if he does get the number of Ale. I think it is a big risk with the person van Persie. I do trust the management looks at this too to be honest.

Yeah, I'm not talking about a possible transfer right now. I'd just find it odd if he starts the next game.

I reckon that's a bit too 'all or nothing' and a waste of Sneijder's ability as he won't be able to get forward as we'd want him to. Either way, it's pointless to discuss this, as he won't drop Van Bommel for any reason other than an injury. I know he's the most experienced player, but I feel he doesn't have the legs and general pace in his play anymore. I really hope he can step it up against Germany.

The starting 11 will be the same as yesterday, I'm sure of it. Maybe Hunter... but even that I don't think Van Marwijk will do.

The long balls from midfield of Sneijder yesterday :touched: those were amazing. But I do agree we will probably see the same or maybe even worse with kuyt for affelay :scared:
