And you're surely not assuming 37 goals coming from the Epl to the serie a is a fair yardstick for what he will in all likelihood do here.
No, I was just replying to your completely random comment.

RVP was a victim of three factors in his earlier Arsenal career:

1) Injuries
2) Thierry Henry
3) The Dutch football philosophy; being competent fielded in different positions

Now the first two points are out of the way he is the one true scorer at Arsenal, the only guy in their team who has ever been able to score goals. He would prefer to be withdrawn off a centre forward, as he has no real pace to play as a traditional wide man in a front 3, but now he has to play striker.

Since he has started playing mostly in this role, which was about 2009, he has 57 league goals and 27 assists in 79 games. That would suggest he is pretty good at it and has a lot of value in this position. In his Arsenal career before that, playing as the second striker or wide attacker, he had 39 goals and 23 assists in 115 games.

If you are not convinced by the PL goals then in the CL in the same period he has 8 goals and 3 assists in 15 games.

I'll never understand Van Persie haters. Most complete striker in the world. Fucking lethal in front of goal.

 this guy is as good a striker as it gets. intelligence, great positioning, lethal touch, instinct... he simply knows how to get the job done in front of the goal. he is my 2nd choice after higgy though.

Very typical van Persie goal! He's so amazing at making those right runs that gives him some opportunities alone against the keeper. Imagine Pirlo making those passes to van Persie next season. Amazing. :) :)
yeah, because the most opponents we play against leave so much space behind the defense, right? oh wait, what do i hear ? we are playing a possession based system which strangles the opponent into defending with great numbers in their own penalty box?! oh well... then maximum of 5 goals like this a season.

so what does he have to offer then ? i mean apart from probably lying 5 month in hospital when he concedes some hidden nasty foul against some douche like aronica or mexes ?

Nice offside trap, Bulgaria.
And to think there might be some bulgarians around in this forum. Come on, it's not easy to watch this team going straight to the bottom since 1996 and on top of that everybody mocking us :D

Btw van persie is sex. He is just the type of striker we need, with his runs behind the defense i can see pirlo and vucinic pulling out some terrific passes
