Classy finish considering the chances he has previously fluffed. I don't think he's ever going to be an assassin in front of goal or with his final ball but he's obviously very useful to us and can push the starters.

I assume all the previous Pereyra posts are to do with the transfer fee because it's a transfer window and we have to whine a lot, but it's not like the player paid if for himself.
I don't hate the player, he hasn't done anything wrong as such he can only play to his own ability, my gripe is with whoever felt it was a good idea to pay what we're willing to pay for him and it's not like this sort of mistake is the first one neither, especially frustrating when marotta is the one trying to tell the fans that they are looking to improve the quality. Well I'm sorry but goal or no goal yesterday pereyra is about the level of giaccherini at his best of days, maybe a bit higher at best

if you got nothing to say best not to post anything at all rather than taking up space with your useless emotes, for someone who is happy for the club to spend 15-18 mill on zaza this summer already tells me you absolutely no concept of money and budget matched with progression and ambition

So you think he is worth €7.75m, for what we will pay in future total. I'd disagree, that gets you nothing in most markets, and obviously you pay more in a top 3-4 league.

id say, in todays market, you have to be very lucky to get a better player for what we are paying (1.5M loan + 14M option)
Lucky ? *scratches head*

And i seriously dont want that 'potential' excuse to justify the price. He doesnt have that 'potential' to be a starter for us.If by any chance he ever does, then it would've to be in some extraordinary circumstance i.e Juve going totally broke and having to sell half the team.(which i doubt will be the case)

what i meant is that players of his quality today are being sold for such money, if not more in some cases. we needed a 5th CM in the summer, and since no opportunities (like Vidal or Pogba for example) were available we decided to play it safe and get an excellent rotation player who wont complain sitting on the bench and can cover multiple positions. we missed out on Nainggolan, Candreva was too expensive, so Pereyra was the best we could find at the moment, cant hit the jackpot everytime

Wouldn't it just have been easier to keep giaccherini who we didn't even sell for a profit following a positive confederations cup? the club must have known that they needed a 5th CM when they sold Giaccherini which is why they bought pereyra
