But can you explain how the management should go about doing that? Let's hypothesize that what they're currently doing isn't realizing the maximum of this club's potential. Personally, I think they're going about things in the correct way (considering how far behind we are Europe's elite clubs financially), but let's say I'm wrong. What should they be doing instead?

I just want to understand the alternative routes you think we should be taking, so that I can better see where you're coming from.

I'd like us to prioritize quality signings for players that add that little extra to the squad, that can make a difference. These players usually cost more than others and these players usually we fail to sign because of Marotta (either his skills or his prioritizing, I don't know but I know he fails to get them). During the time we are trying to sign these players we spend the big part of our budget on Pereyra, Padoin, Giaccherrini, Isla, and so on and when the time comes to seal a deal with an established player our budget becomes too thin.

I don't think it's down to Marotta's closing techniques, I think it's down to the simple fact that we can't afford those players once the financial powerhouses start bidding and offering them insane wages.

I don't buy the premise that I as fan should deliver other alternatives to justify my critique.

I don't think Marotta is a catastrophy. But I do find him mediocre at best. There's so many unintelligent solutions from his hand. That I find his successes to be good luck rather than talent.

This constant co-own mess, Giovinco, Immobile, Bendtner, Anelka, Delneri -> Ferrara -> Conte -> Allegri, lack of offensive power, lack of european success and so on.. There's so many misses in his pocket.

If Pirlo, Barzagli and Buffon all decides this is the year they get old. Juve will be in some trouble. Especially with Allegri on board.

I compliment the management on targeting youth, but we also need one established (not necessarily WC, but with potential) player, someone who can make the difference, and wouldn't command a gigantic transfer fee or huge wages. The management, with their expertise, scouting, and general abilities should be able to do that, don't u think? I don't want us to have a Plan A, B, C, and then go to Plan D because we failed to secure our initial targets. Be clear and transparent about shit.

Be concise, efficient, and decisive.

Can we afford the player? If not, move on.

Can we afford his wages? If not, look elsewhere.

If we can afford both his transfer fee and wages, then no need to hesitate and risk losing a prospect.

Therefore these links with Isco, Lavezzi and Pastore should not exist and instead focus on Cerci and Candreva. In the end the Pereyra transfer makes sense.

But if people want to believe to the media that we're chasing some player for a few months and wasting time like that, they have only themselves to blame.

We make inquiries and pretty much move on if demands are out of our price range. Only need to look at the fees that were payed for some of our alleged targets to realize this. Therefore it is always funny when they mention Aguero and how Marotta failed to close the deal.
