Inter Milan patron Massimo Moratti has moved quickly to offer a coaching job to Italian legend Roberto Baggio.

Baggio declared earlier this week an ambition to enter coaching and Moratti was quick to say last night: "Baggio's words were not unexpected.

"It seems logical to me that a great player such as him would want to be passing on his knowledge to younger players.

"Therefore, in all honesty, I can say to him that our doors are always open. He could begin in the technical area of our youth team.

"But not right away. First we would have to meet and discuss terms and find an agreement."

no one is saying that he shud be given the manager's position as yet.he could always coach the juventus' youth team.and he could be groomed as a manager in teh future.
or else,he could be a manager at some small club.he might be interested in coaching two clubs that revitalised his career ie bolgona and bresica.he could coach them, and if he manages them bring them back in the serie A,that would outline his ability to coach teams.if he's good enough, there is no way in hell that he SHOULD NOT be appointed as the juventus head coach in the future.

Inter Milan patron Massimo Moratti says the ball is in Roberto Baggio's court if he wants to talk about a coaching job at the San Siro.
Moratti made an open invitation to Baggio to join the club's academy setup and said yesterday: "The offer was made in public and from a distance.

"We need to talk. I must feel he wants to come here. If he can convince me, then we could do something in the future."

i came across this guy today and we were talking about italian soccer.when i mentioned baggio,he said "is he the one who missed that penalty at usa 94?"

it pissed me off so bad to see that people remember that ONE moment and forget the other great things he did.

Baggio would be better than CRAPello or CRAPattoni
you know ur talking about two of the greatest masterminds of the game.
Have some respect at least for don capello he is our coach.

well good for him whereever he goes, if he comes here for the youth then it would be great , if he goes to inter all the luck

i think conte would be a bette coach

Monaco: Didier Deschamps Resigns!
9/19/2005 12:26:00 PM
After a very poor start of the season with a disastrous elimination in CL and a 15th place in Le Championnat, Didier Deschamps has chosen to leave the principality club.
The defeat at home against Rennes(0-2) has been decisive in his decision. The French coach felt that his players were no longer confident about his management.Rumors of an early dismissal were heard on August as Deschamps clashed with Monaco's vice president Gerard Brianti about the recruitment. The former World Cup winner was at Monaco since 2001 and reached two third places in L1 and also the CL final in 2003.His only trophy has been the League Cup in 2004.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've always thought him to be overrated as a player. And now for those who think he'd be good as a coach, I wouldnt think much of him in that respect either. I hope Moggi hires Vialli next.

First of all, don't get how he was an overrated player, not like he was hyped up much. Secondly, 60+ international caps as captain, has to mean something, no?

But as a coach, he has still won nothing. So close in 2004 but not close enough. Be that as it may, how could you possibly advocate Vialli ahead of him? What has Vialli achieved?
