I will not count on Italy anymore. :) Then they will win it. They have been so powerfull, but still they suck... So this time I wont expect them to win it, like all other times. BTW, I wanna see this Italia defeat Brazil in the final:

---------Cassano---Gilardino-----------
-------------------Totti--------------------
------De Rossi---Pirlo---Gattuso-----------
Zambro---Canna---Nesta---Cassetti/Oddo---
------------------Buffon----------------------------

Larsson is about to sign for 2 more years with Barca, and since he's son will protest if doesn't play in our NT he's done for WC2006. :D

    Ibrahimovic (Juventus) Larsson (Barcelona)
    Ljungberg (Arsenal), Källström(Rennes), Wihelmsson (Anderlecht)

Quite impressive attack really. :) I'd be suprised if Källström and Wilhelmsson still played in Rennes and Anderlecht in the year of 2006.

Plus we have some players coming up:
Rasmus Lindgren - Ajax - 20 years old, have been starting a whole lot lately
Marcus Rosenberg - MFF - 22 will leave this summer. Just snubbed a 6€m bid from Lok. Moskva.
Petter Andersson - Hammarby - 20 - Perhaps our biggest talent.will go to a mayor club soon.
    Djordjic - Rangers - 23 - No idea how he's doing....
Sebastian Larsson - Arsenal - 19 - Started some in the FA cup and has been on the bench in ze league
Henok Goitom - Udinese - 20 - Is said to have better technic and dribbling then Zlatan, yet to see. :)
Djuric - Halmstad - 20 - Will become HUGE. Great potential in this kid.
Elmander - Bröndby - 22 - Probably will go to Dortmund if they sell Koller

ETC ETC :D Swedish football is going UP! We got so many talented youngsters right now!

    Costa Rica

After the very disappointing match against Trinidad, local Federation sacked Colombian Coach Jorge Luis Pinto and brought back brazilian-born Alexandre Guimaraes who coached during the past qualifiers and during the World Cup but left after a dispute with the federation...

    Third time's the charm right?

I hope we can make it to Germany even if it isn't a brilliant qualification.

The difference between 94 and WC 2006 is easy: Stefan Schwarz and Patrik Andersson. If we could get ONE more good CD and a player like Schwarz we could reach the semi's, if not longer.

Or imagine if P. Andersson would say yes to the NT again.

Edman Mellberg P. Andersson Östlund

Fourteen people have been jailed for rioting after Mali's 2006 World Cup qualifier against Togo on Sunday 27 March.

The judgement, delivered by Musa Jallow in a Bamako court on Monday, found them guilty of robbery and the destruction of public property.

Fans went on a rampage through Bamako's streets, setting cars on fire and ransacking shops and hotels after the 2-1 defeat.

The loss meant that Mali are out of the race to qualify for the global tournament in Germany.

Others charged with rape and under-age offenders will be tried at a later date.

Fifa, world football's governing body, will meet on 27 April to decide on the sanctions that will be imposed on the Malian Football Federation.

One possible sanction is that they will be asked to play their next home qualifying game against Liberia behind closed doors, in addition to a financial penalty being imposed.

Its true we have a great squad for WC2006, maybe even better then 94, Our forwards are definitely better but the midfield doesnt quite come up to the class of brolins midfield in 94.

You know what's the problem with the Swedish squad?

They have the talent and the potential to do good against big teams but they lack something very important....football culture

Fans risk being turned away from World Cup stadiums if they buy black market tickets, organisers warn. The lucky winners in the draw for tickets in the first sales opportunity for next year's finals in Germany were notified on Friday and within hours offers were being made for re-sale on the web.

Tickets will come pre-printed with fans' names and Horst R Schmidt, organising committee vice-president in charge of ticket sales, said that random checks would take place outside the grounds.

"We can only warn fans buying tickets this way that they must reckon on not making it into the stadium," Schmidt said in a statement.

"Tickets are personalised and can only be changed for a good reason, and in consultation with the organisers. If ticket and ID card do not match up there could be problems, just as there would be with a plane ticket.

"We know there will be a black market - the tennis at Wimbledon has had one for over a hundred years - but we want to spare fans a rude awakening at the stadium gates."

The first sales window offering 812,000 tickets was oversubscribed by 10 times. Only another 300,000 tickets will go on public sale to fans before the tournament.

Official ticket prices start at 35 euros ($45.73) for the group phase and go up to 600 euros ($784) for the most expensive seats at the final.

Schmidt said that tickets for matches in the last 16 were on offer on the Internet for 800 to 1,000 euros.

I agree, but not for long. I think were heading up, up, up. Our supporters in euro cup 2004 was impressive, we outclassed Italy in numbers of fans as well as the danes. The immegrants in Sweden adds a lot our culture as well, constantly increasing the interest.

Or just look at the common TV channels, were an avarage Swede are able to watch Allsvenskan, Serie A, Champions League, La Liga, Premier League and Bundesliga from their TV. Plus Ligue 1 is said to be on the way as well as the porguguise leage. Not quite like ten years ago, where you could watch the premier league on "tipsextra" on saturdays wouldn't you say? :D

We got one problem though, HOCKEY. KILL THE HOCKEY GOTTAMIT. Okay, I enjoy watching it but god its a gay sport.

The winter shouldn't be a problem, since the global warming will take care of that. :D

    Swede's seem to be optimistic...
Well I think we have a reason to be... We have a young team (not counting Larsson, but god, he'll be god til 40) and our performances lately are throw the roof. I think we are in a position to pull a denmark(1992). :undecide:
