I can't complain much about the draw, at least we didn't get PSV or Chelsea regarding that matter. Werder is the 3rd choice team which I didn't want to face. They have the best attack in the Bundesliga, with the most number of goals and assists, and the top scorer is Klose, who has scored 16 goals. However their defence is inexperienced and slack, this is where we can expose them.

Playing Bremen is very tricky IMO, as we need to prevent them from scoring. On their day they can demolish any team possible, so I would say that we have to shut their midfield down, so that their passes wouldn't reach to Klose/Klansic/Micoud, this is where Emerson/Vieira/Thuram/Canna has to stop them hard, and we should create as many chances as possible to make their defence look foolish. It is important to take the 1st goal of the game as well and win the game, so that the game at the Delle Alpi can be "played more comfortably"

About individual players, stop Micoud from passing the ball around. He has the highest assists to his name in the CL campaign. Klose has strong aerial ability, and strong marking is needed. Klansic is another dangerous striker, strong marking is needed. The midfield has to shut down both Borowski and Frings. Since Lyon can thrash them 3 - 0 and 7 -2, it should be of no problem for Juve. But the most important thing is that we shouldn't be complacent, juz like in the Bayern game where we r killed.

As I always say, let's kill them

werder has a good midflied but we have better,
they are more attacking team, as o thought they are,
Caps team is calibrated esp to counter those!

What?

Haedo Valdez?

Klose?

Get out of here.
Klose scored more goals on his own than Makaay and Pizarro together.

Top strikers by grades (kicker sportsmagazine):

Rank - name - club - grade:
1 Miroslav Klose Werder Bremen 2,04
2 Ivan Klasnic Werder Bremen 2,59
...
24 Roy Makaay Bayern München 3,77

Top midfielders by grades (kicker sportsmagazine):

Rank - name - club - grade:
1 Tim Borowski Werder Bremen 2,63
2 Torsten Frings Werder Bremen 2,67
3 Johan Micoud Werder Bremen 3,00
...
8 Michael Ballack Bayern München 3,23

And concerning that title comparison: What happened on the 8th of May 2004 matters more to us. It's not about how many titles you win, but HOW you win them. And at least, everybody in Germany hates Bayern and loves Werder. That is what matters.

at the risk of sounding too overconfident, I can only see Juventus crash out if luck is against us (god forbid that happens but it could)

One that I really fear in Bremen is Micoud though.

Very true Seven. Ppl here r too overjoyed about avoiding Chelsea. We got Bremen, which I'm not too glad to be honest.

The info werder06 provided us is not meant for fun, and we should really treat Bremen seriously. But if we play to our best, it should be of no problem

Same here. I've always thought he was special since I saw him at Parma.
Too bad Micoud always live in the shadows of Zidane, in fact he got so furious of being left out of the Euro 2004 squad that he announced his retirement.
