this is 100 percent true, but also in a way it's short sighted imo. because bologna too focused in the basel 40% clause

it's better for bologna to maintain good relationship with juve, because then it can get steady supply of cheap next gen talent over the next decade to develop and sell instead of a one and done deal with a foreign club. juventus has already shown it's willing to build good business rapport with other clubs for transfers such as bayern for example.
Everything you said makes a lot of sense, hopefully they have some preliminary agreements that we are not aware of and everything goes smooth

One thing that is perhaps not being spoken about as much is that Calafiori’s agent is Alessandro Lucci, which is someone that has an excellent rapport with Juve, plenty of current and ex players been represented by him, not that it comes as any guarantee but it should sure help our case a bit.

yeah but this deal should have been done before euro started.

Seems like it’s getting increasingly difficult to get this deal done, there’s clearly a lot of competition from abroad for him and a bidding war is looking inevitable… only hope remains Calafiori’s will to stay in Italy and perhaps interest in continuing to work with Thiago Motta, but that can only help so much, to stand a chance we will be required to also put in a bid closer to the €50M mark to be able to find an agreement with Bologna.

Nothing is certain atm but i think we are still front runners for his signature, if he is as much of a priority for us as the rumors suggest then Giuntoli is probably working on it as we speak to find alternative formulas to make it feasible.
We had an agreed set price with Bologna for €30m, but Bologna changed their minds and upped the price after he was selected for the NT.

I would say the biggest joker we have is Motta but let's see

That as well ofc, however in this particular scenario the agent can turn out to be even more crucial when it comes to dealing with Bologna(also with Basel)… along with potentially stalling or waiving off interest from other clubs from abroad that could eventually outbid us.

If it's way over what we paid for Bremer aka 41+8 I don't think we'll be able to sign him.

we manage to sell Gatti for 30+m:weee:

at that point the question shouldn’t be can we, but should we. He’s not Bremer.

but I think as long as Calafiori insists on Juve, they will be in good position to eventually get it done. I’d probably cap it at 35M.

I guess we have to sell Soule or Huijsen to fund this

Yep, player's will is key, we have Motta on our side and hopefully Calafiori isn't one of those who fap on Premier League

If Giuntoli use loan fee + obligation for this transfer are the loan fee need to be count and spare with Basel clause?
I have more questions to add to that.

What if we offer Gatti+15M? How much would Basel get? Would they basically need to translate the value of Gatti still and Bologna would need to pay Basel from their own pocket? Or would they send 7.5M and half of Gatti?

Gatti the footballer is currently an asset in our books and would be for Bologna in case of a transfer so yes, his value needs to be translated in money.
Generally speaking, I think the discussion on how to screw Basel in that deal is pointless. The only way they get out of it empty-handed is Calafiori running down his contract.

My theory on why bologna director keeps saying they wanna keep him is because he knows calafiori wants Juve and they arent meeting the asking price, at least not yet. Giuntoli knows he has leverage as long as Calafiori insists on Juve so he has no reason to offer more until he has to. This could drag out all summer unless Calafiori changes his mind.
