Dismissed Mancio nets pardon
Tuesday 6 March, 2007
Inter boss Roberto Mancini will be on the touchline in the derby after escaping a ban for his dismissal last week.
The Nerazzurri tactician was sent off during the match with Livorno on Saturday, but was only handed a warning and a £3,500 fine by the disciplinary commission today.
Chievo boss Luigi Del Neri was instead handed a one-match ban, after seeing red in the fixture with Milan, while Palermo general director Rino Foschi has been banned until April 5.
The Rosanero official was punished for threatening and offending referee Stefano Ayroldi during the break of the Sicilian derby between Messina and Palermo on Sunday.
Palermo will also be without striker Andrea Caracciolo for two matches after he lost his head in the defeat.
The former Brescia marksman was punished for complaining with the referee and pushing him after he was shown a red card just two minutes after stepping on to the field of play.
Two-game ban: Caracciolo (Palermo), Paci (Parma)
One-game ban: Maicon (Inter), Adriano, Loria (Atalanta), Mauri, Mutarelli (Lazio), Budan (Parma), Chivu (Roma), Codrea (Siena), Conti (Cagliari), Franceschini (Torino), Nastase (Ascoli)
