Be interesting to know people's vote's on last years market which arguably was worse than this year... Our standout signing was Pereyra and Morata last year.
We had a strong team already. It's not like we lost our best player, third best player and legendary regista.

Got me there

I don't doubt his potential, but 32+8 bonus is, for me, too much for a kid who didn't show anything outside SerieA and who had a 1 year contract.
Manchester united just bought a kid for 50m who has 15 goals to his name. The market is over-inflated right now. 40m is the new 30m

Didn't show anything outside Serie A? The reason Palermo paid 12 mil for an 18 year old was because he was incredible for Instituto in Argentina. Scored 17 goals in his debut season, as a 17 year old, breaking several records for youngest to accomplish things by Mario Kempes. If he turns into close to the player Kempes was we'll be blessed!

So now I've established how excellent he was in Argentina and why a small club like Palermo paid 12 mil for an 18 year old. Aside from this where other than Serie A should he have shown something? I don't get the point there? City paid 68 mil for Raheem Sterling, a player who has hardly done more and hadn't shown anything outside the Premier league. ManU spent 50 mil on Martial who has done less than Dybala and hadn't shown anything outside Ligue 1.

There was interest in Dybala from all over the place in that 30-40mil price range. We identified as our top target of the mercato, and as an ideal long-term Tevez replacement and we paid what we needed to in order to get him. The length of contract left is entirely irrelevant if there are multiple teams interested. Young attacking players who are in demand, after brilliant seasons, are very expensive, they always will be. Hence the reason we couldn't get a young top AM.

Dybala has scored in 2 of his first 3 matches in a Juve jersey. That's about as brilliant a start as he could have, regardless of the shit football the team has played. And in two of them he came on as a sub. He's looked excellent.

5 out of 10

Pros
Neto – Really good keeper and a fantiastic young second choice for free
Rugani – Very promising young Italian CB for peanuts
Dybala – Fantastic aquasition. Has all the skills and the mentality to become WC
Alex Sandro – One of the best LB in the world. A dream signing
Cuadrado – Is deadly one on one and until this mercato we have really been missing that in this team. The only problem with this deal was that we did not get an option to bye after the season
Lemina – Only seen him the one time against us where he had a MOM performance. Looks really promising and as its only an option it seems like a good deal
Pereyra – No brainer. Really good player who are able to play several positions for 15 mio.
Mandzucic – Upgrade over Llorente and the price was ok
Pirlo- We really needed to let him go. He was holding us back on the field
Isla and De cegle – Oh thank good we don’t have to look at these two

Cons
Coman- Horible deal for us and smart deal for Bayern. If he lifes up to hes promise they will get a WC player for peanuts. If he fails it will only cost them 7 mio
Zaza – What the fucking fuck was that. 18 mio. I mean what the fuck. That’s up there with the Martinez deal
Not getting a prolific TQ – It has been the goal all summer and probably the reason why we sold Vidal so we could fund a move
Tevez – That one hurt but it probably had to be done. If we made a promise to the player that he could leave after the second year of his contract we did the right thing in letting him go. The transfer fee was not impressive though.

Undecided:
Storari and Pepe – Especially Pepe did not seem to be mutch help on the pitch but they where both leaders in the dressing room
Hernanes – On one hand he can take Marchisio palce when he is not available which means no more Padoin as a DM. On the other hand as the TQ signing he is extremely underwhelming. At the same time I do not understand the need to give these old players 3 year contracts. It means that we cant geet ride of them
Vidal – I was all for cashing in on Vidal to get a really good TQ. When we did not get the TQ it seems like a bad decision and the price for Vidal also seems a bit low
Llorente – we had to get ride of hes wages but seems a bit small that we was not able to get a small fee for him

All in all some nice pick ups. We rejuvenated the squad which was really needed. The lack of a good TQ made it a somewhat meh transfer window for me.

One thing to note, our average age of the squad has gone down from 30 to 27. We've gone from the second highest age in the CL last season to the one of the lowest.

8/10, because why fucking not. my rating system does not include the sums, i rate just what comes and goes, financial aspect never is visable on the pitch , so thats how all of you should rate the mercato. 8 out of 10. not 10/10 jus because we couldnt get a wc AM

I can't justify giving this mercato anything more than a 5.

Delighted with Sandro and Dybala
Happy with mandzukic, cuadrado, khedira, Neto and Hernanes and lemina
Unhappy with Zaza

buys have been a 8/10, it's the sales that are bringing the overall down, to sell 3 leaders in 1 summer is too much, people slate pirlo here and I think that's disgusting because he was still decisive last year, I wish we still had him. Tevez we were always going to lose, but Vidal is a disappointment, for such a low price and then to fail to replace him. Llorente too to a degree, letting him go on a free seems very strange

Marotta has overall weakened the team

Mate, when did we ever buy as much quality in one mercato? Ignoring the sales/departures, we've done extraordinary buying no less than 7 proven top class players!! Lemina and Zaza has potential, but they are Juve level signings.

Arguably? This years purchases have easily been better than last seasons. It's our sales that haven't been the greatest though.
True, but then again, it also had to be because we lost 3 starters while last year, we only HAD to solve a LB issue (what we did to a certain extend with a transfer free Evra), some depth issues and something small like a coach issue right before the start of the season.

ITT: Massive overreaction. The only player we will miss is Vidal and the only single bad buy Zaza purely because it was 18m, something like 10m would of been fine. When fit, this team and squad is much better than last seasons. Coman for a potential is 28M is robbery from Marotta cause let's be honest, he hasn't done chit here (even though he's like 19 but still). We have become much much more versatile and have drastically reduced the average age of the squad. Anyone voting anything below 7/10 doesn't know chit about football.

You know thing are fucked up when Cronios gave higher grade to this mercato than most of the members...

Also last year we had epic meltdown, and Pereyra was last year's Zaza
