I think psg have sent him on loan as spite, as that's something we would have been ok with. It also gives them hope or a reason to cite their delusioned price tag for future offers.

If he flops at Spurs, which they usually do, we'll get Muani cheaper next year.

The bar is low there, if he scores about 10 goals and has a few good moments they will be frothing and likely buy him.

We’ll never know the truth, I think it’s more likely we were low-balling and they weren’t budging from their valuation. He also can’t be on that big of a wage if Spurs decide to pay it.

This is ridiculous. Spurs get him on a dry loan for 5m without any option, and they wanted to milk us for 55+?

fuck off.
Well tbf to PSG - if he does good at Spurs they know they will pay 60m for him.
If he does good at Juve they know we will try to milk them next year.
Sending him to PL is always a good move for them, he will get buyers if he is good

Seems like PSG overplayed their cards and were convinced we’ll eventually pay up on the last day, but instead we pulled out… meanwhile Kolo Muani maybe also chose to spite them and not go to any other teams that were outbidding Juve so most serious suitors backed off since before so now after Juve decided against giving in to PSG’s demands they were now forced to accept whatever was on the table just to not be stuck with him while Kolo Muani himself chose to delay and make things difficult for PSG for refusing his dream move back to Juve, as well as getting another year to evaluate his options after the failed transfer saga.

I’d assume that PSG also refused to dry loan him back to us or via any other option other than their initial demands of an obligation ofc because they are major cunts that could afford the loss but just wanted to spite us.

We are not a rival to PSG, this is pure business. Our shitty negotiators couldn't wrap up a deal. Spurs wanted it done and convinced the player while we dicked around for over a month. It only took Spurs a day to get it done. I can imagine how it is to deal with us, we probably piss everyone off and also show our hand, which is why we get mugged off by minor clubs like Fiorentina and Atalanta. Common sense says Muani would go on a cheap loan by the deadline, but we failed and then scramble for much lower standard players. We're still praying for Milik to return and stay healthy, what a disgrace.

Dude in any other circumstances i probably wouldn’t disagree that we are not the best negotiators and tend to overcomplicate things but in this specific case it’s all about PSG being cunts and holding a grudge against us ever since we took Rabiot for free from them along with the ECA arguments that Agnelli and that shitcunt PSG president Elkelaifi had…

Has nothing to do with Tottenham convincing the player and us not, we could have afforded the dry loan price too while the player clearly wanted and waited for us, but it’s PSG who wanted to rip off us specifically.

Anyway, it’s over, no point getting too worked up over this.

I think this is basically PSG showing us the middle finger for wasting their time. It's not an offer Juve couldn't have matched, but they didn't want to deal with us anymore.

You just dont have much leverage when you're dealing with Arabs with unlimited funds. They even cucked Mbappe.

@Alin but we already had him for last season and this was a great way for PSG to get rid of him, even 40M would've been a win for PSG. They know they won't get the 60M, nobody was in the market, or if anyone was, they could've sent him to Newcastle. Also, Spurs are shite, his value probably won't increase over there.

I hope PSG aren't such petty bitches as you describe, but who knows. I'm just looking at the current squad and I'm praying nobody gets injured. Lastly, keeping hold of a player that could help us do well this season and go far in the UCL or any competition will pay us the money back in prize money. You need a full and capable squad to achieve anything and we're still light so that 20M or whatever in the bank will stay 20M, forcing us to sell our best players in the future unless we actually win something.

Exactly this, but its not that they didn't wanna deal with us. We must have given them hope that once we sold x y and z we would have cash to meet their demands. While we still waited on a price drop. When we realised psg are stubborn we made a quick for openda. A then bitter and panicking PSG accepted a simple loan to spuds.
