And we don't have Tiago to lock him in the toilet anymore, to stop him going awol.

This is doomed to fail surely.

It's a gamble because of his attitude, but he's good.. hmm.

His agent said it's hard for Milan and Juve to do that move in January because we don't have a non-EU spot left.

His contract expires in 2011 so his price will be lower.

Atletico Madrid Join Race For Schalke Defender Rafinha - Report
The Brazilian full-back has attracted the interest of Atletico Madrid...

Primera Division outfit Atletico Madrid have joined the race for the signature of highly rated Schalke defender Rafinha, according to a report in Spanish newspaper El Mundo Deportivo.

The Brazilian full-back is continually being linked with a move away from the Gelsenkirchen side and teams such as Wolfsburg, Bayern Munich, Juventus and Milan are all believed to be keen on signing him.

The report claims that Atletico have now joined the list of admirers of the 24-year-old. The Madrid-based outfit have been vulnerable at the back this season and head coach Quique Flores reportedly sees Rafinha as the perfect solution to his defensive worries.

However, Schalke have reportedly set a €14 million asking price for their star defender and it remains to be seen whether the Colchoneros are willing to pay such an amount for Rafinha.

Schalke coach Felix Magath confirmed to Bild that Atletico have made an enquiry about the availability of Rafinha, but refused to comment on whether they have already made an official bid.

Just media-bullshit.....

Nope, he's closer to Atletico than to us, but closest are Wolfsburg.
Wolfsburg offered 20 Million for him and Höwedes, but Höwedes won't leave and it seems like Wolfsburg is ready to pay 14 Million on Rafinha.

And all of you forget about swap deals!
Schalke doesn't have any money to pay more players.
