Palladino Rejects Palermo Move

Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini has revealed that Juventus star Raffaele Palladino has rejected a move to the Rosanero.

Palladino is widely regarded as one of Italy’s best young talents, however he has had a frustrating season where he has often either sat on the bench, or been employed in an unfavoured wide midfield position.

The 24-year-old is certain to leave at the end of the season, and Juve sporting director Alessio Secco has worked feverishly to include Palladino in the exchange deal that will see Amauri join the Bianconeri.

However Zamparini has confirmed that Palladino has rejected a transfer to Sicily.

“He doesn’t want to come to Palermo,” the fiery businessman told journalists.

“He’s a bit like everyone else who doesn’t know the place and its beauty.”

Palladino is believed to be holding out for a move either to Fiorentina, or hometown club Napoli.

Meanwhile Zamparini has also confirmed for the umpteenth time that Amauri is extremely close to joining Juve.

“It’s almost done – we are very close to completion of the deal,” he declared.

“We are working out the final details and we are all very optimistic. There is a 98 per cent chance that Amauri will join Juve.

“Not much depends on Palermo now. It’s down to the Old Lady to work out terms with the player and I would expect that to happen soon.”

let him go to napoli and get the rights on Fabiano Santacroce.

we could let Santacroce play there for a season or more on "loan" and let him gather experience until he is ready for us

Its kind of interesting that Palladino wants to go to Fiorentina... I don't see him cracking the first 11 there on a consistent basis either, except maybe in a wide-midfield position.

Mutu and Pazzini are a young and effective duo with Vieri as a supersub.

Of course, if they want to do a swap deal involving Montolivo, with Juve tossing in some cash... all the better.

Napoli makes sense though. However, I don't see Napoli satisfying Juve's requirements financially, nor do I think they want to let go of Lavezzi, Hamsik or Santacroce, the three players Juve would likely want in return.

I'd rather we get $$ for paladino more than getting a player in exchange even if the player is Santacroce

Viola already got Jovetić.

Who knows what will happen with Fiorentina's team after the end of the season if they don't make it to the CL (and it seems they won't).

Many clubs will ask for Mutu (like Real did last year by offering around 20mln euros) and Pazzini who is already on wish list at Roma.

I wouldn't be surprised if one of them leave,if not both.

Vieri is past.

i think that is the most realistic we can demand from them ...

they wont let go hamsik, so getting a player that might be a real good defender next year was the thing i think napoli would agree to the most.

Normal Palladino.

Some nice touches, but no real end product.
He has the skills and he has the scoring touch. I think he lacks the right mentality. He seems to lack confidence, he hasn't exactly been given enough freedom to express himself this season. He has been played out of position in most matches, and add to that that he he hasn't even played at all for most of the season.

I don't remember him doing those flashy tricks in Serie B where he was given a starting position almost all of the time. He does all those flashy tricks now out of desperation, almost trying to convince the coach he is talented. If he plays basic football for now and worries about all the brazillian flashy stepovers later, I think he could improve his game by a long margin.

he is a talented player and he can play all positions in trident why sell, exchange or anything else except from keeping him to develop and be a quality player
We have a very good squad why ruin it
let amauri or anybody else and keep players who grew up in juve and watch all these years what to be a real Champion
