Happy Birthday Raffaele! :flag:

Palla stays quiet on future
Thursday 17 April, 2008

Raffaele Palladino returned to the scoresheet for Juventus last night, but he still refuses to rule out leaving Turin this summer.

Despite penning a contract extension earlier in the year, Palladino has stated his frustration at a lack of regular first-team football this term and admitted that he fears his international career is being compromised.

With Amauri likely to arrive from Palermo at the end of the season there may be still less space next term, prompting suggestions that Palla will go elsewhere.

Last night’s super strike against Parma was a timely reminder of the former Azzurrini star’s abilities, but his future is still up in the air.

“It’s nice to get a goal during a period when I haven’t been playing much,” Palladino stated.

“Am I unsettled? No, but it’s obvious that it is important for a young player to be getting games.

“At the end of the season I will talk to the club, but Juve remain my priority and my objective is to do well here.

“If I do leave, it will be a decision made after discussions with the club and it won’t be a matter of my desire to go.

“If the club have a use for me then I will stay, if not we will see.

“Did I refuse Palermo as part of the Amauri deal? No, I haven’t turned down any destination and haven’t spoken to any other club because I am focused on this season with Juve,” he concluded.

He played well against Parma. But he's gotta stop all that fancy stuff that never seems to work for him.
He should move on next season, they will be even less room for with Gio and Amarui.
We should try and use him to try and get Zapata from Udinese

He can't stop that fancy stuff , it's the way he plays . It's his style , he can't and won't change his style . What he could do is try to make his fancy moves work .

Palladino: I Want To Stay At Juve

Juventus star Raffaele Palladino says he wants to stay at the club, despite reports that he will be sold at the end of the season.

Palladino is regarded as one of Italy’s most talented young players, and he put in a man-of-the-match performance last night, scoring a brilliant goal in the 3-0 win over Parma.

The Neapolitan seems almost certain to be sold though at the end of the season, in order to make way for Palermo hitman Amauri.
However Palla says he would love to stay, providing Juve have space for him in the first team.

“It’s nice to get a goal during a period when I haven’t been playing much,” he stated.

“Am I unsettled? No, but it’s obvious that it is important for a young player to be getting games.

“At the end of the season I will talk to the club, but Juve remain my priority and my objective is to do well here.

I bet Brazzo and Momo will become best friends

Can a brotha get a VBOOKIE EVENT up in here?? :D

Darnn,why don't Claudio let him play his position? fckin foward...not a wing,half-wing,half a foward.......FOWARD......striker.......

but nooo,we will sell him and get one more Eiffel :)
With Vinny out the CL within our grasp plus the chance to rest our stars, Ranieri should give Palla at least 2 full games in a pure striker position before the end of the season

I got a feeling he will prove his worth..

I hope he does too, i rly would like to keep him in our squad or at least loan him out, not sell him. Hopefully he takes full advantage of Vince's misfortune.

Palladino Hurt By Criticism
Juventus forward Raffaele Palladino scored one of his team's goals in the 3-0 win against Parma on Wednesday, boosting his morale after some negative performances over the last few months.Palladino returned to scoring ways on Wednesday against the Gialloblu and he hopes that the goal will allow him to finish the season on a high.

"I did not expect to play against Parma, and the coach only announced it to me in the morning," explained the former Livorno player.

"I was craving a goal, but even more than that I was missing time on the pitch," he continued. "I tried to give everything from the first minute."

Palladino has often played on the wing, away from his natural role, this season.

"I sacrifice myself as a winger without any problem, even though I prefer upfront. The most important thing is to play.

"With that shot I put in all the anger I had as I went through a difficult spell due to the criticism of the last months. After scoring I felt well straight away," concluded Palladino.

I understand him.He is a young player, who had a decent season in Serie B and was waiting this season to prove himself in serie A.
And all suddenly he is a 4th choice striker, who usually plays out of position and after that he is criticiced.

I feel sorry for him too, the guy has a potential but needs to play more as a forward. Hope we don't do the stupid move and sell him.....
