Ya, Alex was a God comparing to Palladino in age 23. But I don´t mean to discredit Palla here as he is one of the best Juve performers this season. The kid has some awesome skills and he is versatile. He only needs to work on his practicality and strength IMO. Good work, son.
100% on point mark

also i dont want ppl here thinking that i dont like palla or that i dont think he is a good player with great potential. its just absurd to compare him to DEL M'FUCKING PIERO :D

That's true . Baggio left Juve because of Alex . He was that good .
But Del piero only performed at that level for a few seasons , and that was at the start of his carreer . Palladino might get better later and maintain his form to a later age than Alex.

So , do I think he'll become what Del piero was ? No . But all in all he could give a lot to Juve . He could play on either wing , he can play as a striker with ease .
But he has a long way to go . I remember when Bojinov played for us in Serie B , he made palla's ball control seem amateur at best . Giovinco's speed and passing is also much better than Palladino . I would like to think of him as a player than can go down as one of the club's legends but not one of the club's greats .
At least not for now .

like they way he played against Inter, taking on players although i felt that he could have done a better job with his final touches

The international call-up will do Palladino really well, but honestly I have my doubts over him being good enough to deserve a call-up. I still have my doubts about him being good enough to be a first team player for us.

I'd still prefer Marchionni to Palla on the left, although the latter has the advantage of age and the advantage of not being made of glass.

Great to hear. I also think that he might even start the game. I like his style of play.
About the Marchionni - Palladino thing: How good is Marchionni on the left side?

I disagree Dom. He's not a great right or left midfielder, I agree. But he did well against Inter and before Camo came on he was our only player with enough balls to do something. It's quite clear DP is playing where Palladino should play. Trust me, Del Piero is and always will be my favorite player, but I think Palla's better at this point.

Agreed on all points. I really don't see what the big fuss is over Palladino, I never really saw anything special in the guy, apart from his age and the potential. Sure, this season he features more and really gives his all, but most of the things he does, all the dribbles are the same and completelly ineffective. He holds up the ball too much and just can't shake a defender because of that. He rarely puts in a decent cross as well, all of his good performances are based on lots of movement, hardly anything breathtaking, not to mention effective. Maybe if he played in attack it would be a different story but the way things are now, I'd definetly take Marchionni on the other wing before him.

you'll see palladino shine when he starts in DP's position. If he ever does. He isn't a winger and he weighs us down when he plays in the midfield.

[QUOTE/Juventus.com]......The five names are: Buffon, Chiellini, Camoranesi, Iaquinta and, for the first time ever, Palladino; the latter had never been called up before.....
[/QUOTE]

Congrats Palla!:weee:
